You can report that to the BSA. I reported PC Gameworld a couple of years ago. Guess what happened to them.... closed down. FTW! :D

I reported a shop once to the Films and Publications Board years ago... and they rocked up at my doorstep to "give me a warning"

After I explained to them that I was the complainant, I had to get in my car and drive them to the shop and show them where it was! :rolleyes:

I returned my broken Graphics card to PE technologies, ive been waiting for a new one since 07/07/2008.......Oh and its the replacement that broke, which to 8 weeks to get...

I hope Vikesh GETS RAPED in prison, this is my sincere wish.
 
I say report all the shops that do sell pirate software. If there are no more cheap, free copies of Windows floating around people might actually start looking at the alternatives.
 
with simulated holograms? how did he mange that?

Also its a bit stupid to sell pirated software to unsuspecting customers and not expect to get caught.

I would be pissed if bought what i thought was a legal something or other and it turned out to be illegal.

I have experience of Computer Corporation doing this. A family member bought a computer there (with vista), and he then asked for XP. They replaced it, and he did pay for XP. The power supply crashed a while after, and sent the PC in for repairs. It came back with a horrible "streamlined" XP, full of themes and custom software, with "SP3" (a year before SP3 actually came out). Can't remember what it was called, think it might be "Black XP" or something like that. Had alot of problems installing a Vodacom 3G dongle on that piece of crap XP. Anyway, when we phoned Computer Corporation about this they said it was legal. Pfffft.

I never recommend anyone to buy something from Computer Corporation.
 
I have friends that work at Anstek Computers. I told them about what happened to Vikesh. Said it happened about 2 weeks ago and now Vikesh has to pay R5000 per windows/license that he sold. *me thinks someone is going to cover up their books*
 
Knew the guy personally, never liked him. They still owe me R300+, but I've never bothered to fight them for it.

I bought a new laptop from PE Technologies.
A few days later, i turned it over to look at the serial number.. and found a metal plate on it, "Knysna Municipality, Asset Register No: 99999" !!!

After much denial, and failure to return calls, i reported it to THEIR supplier (Pinnacle) and got the whole story. The laptop had been sold, returned as faulty, fixed(?), marked down and put into the "Voetstoets" bin at Pinnacle. PE Tech then bought it and sold it to me, as new. PE Technologies blamed everyone else and eventually Pinnacle replaced the machine for me, at no cost.
