lol can't say it will be my first choiceThe one true pizza toppingWould you order it again? And did you take a glass of water with you to bed?
Fair enough it's very much like fishpaste and marmite etc. A really intense salty umami. Not for everyonelol can't say it will be my first choice
@Paul Kemp Tell this person what you told me about turning inside these small ovensI'd like to know what the height measurement is from stone to top of opening. The Ooni Koda 12 is 82mm.
If the Milex is less than 82mm, I might not be keen.
I want to be able to turn the pizza inside the oven if possible.

Very close to half the price today.I'll be interested to read some reviews and see how this stacks up against the Ooni. FWIW, the Koda 12" is available for ~R8k, so the Milex is not quite half the price.

Done and dusted. I guess I'm making pizza next weekend.Very close to half the price today.

LMAO, "Authentic New York Coalfired...Pizza" I have yet to come across a pizza place in New York that uses coal fired ovens.
Yoh. I halved the receipe and mixture is gooey. Will keep it in fridge till tomorrow morning and see what happens. Will add flour if needed. My recipe although just stolen from Alex the French dude on YouTube.
395ml water
19g salt (use caution, this is a lot of salt)
62g of zero-zero
Touch of honey to feed the yeast if it’s a fast rise.(does not make the base sweet at all)
Mix those together to “guard” the yeast from the salt.
Mix the below dry and then add to the mix.
7g pack of yeast
545g zero-zero
Makes 1kg roughly for 4 X 250g bases.
Gooey is good, it’s stretches better. Flour on your hands, and liberal amount on the work surface will make it easy to work with.Yoh. I halved the receipe and mixture is gooey. Will keep it in fridge till tomorrow morning and see what happens. Will add flour if needed.
Well done. At least you tried it.I received mine last week - happy with the build quality. Used it on Sunday and it worked well, despite my dough being sub-standard.
IR heat gun measured ~380 deg C in the center of the stone and over 400 at the back.
Sounds good, will do.Gooey is good, it’s stretches better. Flour on your hands, and liberal amount on the work surface will make it easy to work with.
With the fridge, put it in before it rises and then take it out early tomorrow to rise and get up to room temp.
