Plan for no alcohol use by drivers

So then what must I consider? From my vantage point, I would prefer to never encounter a driver who thinks s/he is okay to drive. I prefer zero tolerance approach and that the driver only has to contemplate whether s/he has been drinking: yes/no. No grey areas.

Just to point out- drinking is not the only form of alcohol intake. The intake of medicines and mouthwash, as examples used previously, would violate this zero tolerance policy.

If you think that drinking alcoholic beverages are the only source of alcohol then yes I can see why you would think there are no grey areas here. You're wrong but I can understand where you are coming from. :p

Biggest problem is the competence of the drivers. I have seen policemen who struggle to park cars. If had to choose between a friend of mine after 5 quarts and my uncle without alcohol, i will choose my friend any day. Even under influence, i believe reckless driving and sleeping is more of a problem than reaction time.

1. Those breathalysers are not accurate.
2. I've seen sober people locked up before and their blood tests came back with 0.00...% alcohol.

We know policemen can't drive. The stats on that were published the other day.

But I would seriously question your sanity about getting into a car with someone who has just put away 3,5l of beer.

And all 3 of those are problems on the roads.
 
Another dumb idea from our idiots in government. It doesn't help that they pepper their statements with outright lies either.
