Wow, cant believe theres not a thread on this game already (other than the one going on in the bf3 thread)

I have an issue with the game....

I downloaded about 4GB via steam and now it says I have 0 bytes....ie start again, Arrrgggghhhhh. Anyone else with the issue? Im about to try this solution....unless I get better here.

Any tips, faction and maybe which server works best for us Saffers?
 
Downloaded via steam went OK. Installed, launched, chose my allegiance (purple costume guys)and server, dropped.... and as soon as my feet hit the ground for the first time, I got insta-killed. Well done....I immediately quit the game in disgust.
 
COol game but is difficult playing with 260ms.

They always leave us out of the cold.

I downloaded it via steam and it works.
However, a friend of mine left his download overnight and returned the next morning in your situation... He thinks that steam servers randomly crashes before it syncs the data with it servers(?). He had to re-download it again.

I'm jamming on the EU cobalt and US Mattherson servers. The ping is playable for me :)

Oh....so right, i need to set my dates when i search I now see....thnks Web!

Re ping, np really, spent my whole life out in the cold with 200-400 pings. Still playing the bf2 mod PR (http://www.realitymod.com/) with a ping of 200-350 and its very playable,,,just need a change
 
I find playing on the US east matterson server way better in all aspects compared to the EU server. The lag, stability and the feel of the US server is way better and it makes no sense as the EU servers are closer than the US, ping wise.

Anyway I moved of the EU server 2 night ago and now jamming on US Matterson.

Level 20 light trooper/engineer reporting. We playing Matterson(US) as NC mentioned in the thread you could not see. Have no lag using Mweb uncapped and re you steam issue. Just goto the game options and click on verify. Should pick up the problems and download the rest.

Simple answer really.

EU and US west servers are hosted by a 3rd party, US east is hosted by Sony themselves.

Mine reset at 99%, I just deleted the game off steam. Firefall is better anyway.

Firefall is still in beta?

Not a fan of the NPC crap, may as well go play Borderlands with some friends. (PVP kind sucks as well as the best gear wins not best skill)

Planetside is totally balanced in that aspect, and if you shoot something, its another person somewhere in the world not some crappy coded AI, but that is just me :)
