Planned forum changes – Your feedback needed

Also @rpm, please allow comments in the Jobs section, especially now that the job site posts are copied there. We would like to be able to discuss them. I really don't see why we can't.
 
Can we also jettison that TK weirdness that spams up the timeline/unread posts, or change the settings so TK is excluded from timeline/unread and the people that engage in Tk can rather see it under their subscribed posts.

Because Tk has zero interest for anyone other than those that participate.

Actually it would be great if that could be applied to all forum games, they aren't relavent to the core function of the Mybb discussion forum and can be very distracting especially if you are a new forum member and you can't work out what the heck this flood of pointless posts is.

Granted I have no issue with Tk or games otherwise, I just don't want to have to endure an endless stream of it.
 
Can airborne be banned as punishment. Will improve the forum dramatically

  • Remove the “IT Jobs Wanted, and Skills Offered” forum (the new IT Jobs Portal offers this functionality – just better).
  • Remove the “Member request forum” under Hardware and Software Dealers (it is not used)
  • Make “CPA, Telecoms Regulation and Consumerism” a sub-forum under “Business, Finance, and Start-ups” (it is too quiet to justify a top-level forum)
  • Remove the “User reviews” forum (it is not used, and people can use any other forum for reviews in that sector)
  • Combine “Forum suggestions” and “First posts” (the activity in these forums are very low)
  • Remove the “Mafia forum” (unless it will be used again?)
  • Remove the ISDN, Sentech MyWireless, and Wimax forums (those forums have no activity, and the tech is no longer widely used)
  • Remove the Fixed Broadband forum (low activity, and other forums serve that purpose)

Please Note: All the posts from the "removed forums" will be migrated to another forum first. No posts will therefore be lost.

So "IT Jobs Wanted, and Skills Offered" was deleted. What's the point of asking for feedback and then ignoring it?
 
How about some custom avatars finally?

And also images rendered inline without Tapatalk?
 
Good changes.

Would still like the ability for images to be copied/pasted somehow, instead of needing external sources first.

And I would imagine the same applies then for why images aren't displayed inline?

Can't remember if vB allows you to assign a permission for this based on Number of posts of other promotion system but maybe just hand over the keys to Users above X amount of posts if at all possible.

That's how it happens now, but is a burden for the mods.
