Playstation 3 Advertisement too violent

So even without the kid even seeing the ad, his folks get him one. Then he goes and plays games like God of War or 50"f**k-all sense"? What's the point? Is it any more violent than what kids are already exposed to, on what passes for TV "rendertainment" nowadays?

Don't these games have age restrictions on them?
 
Sigh, what a stupid verdict. You'd think that people can see the lighter side of things by now.
 
Was it being aired at a time that children would be watching? It sounds fine as an advert being aimed at adults.
 
Note to PS3 media peoples: Sex sells, not blood and gore.

Oh yeah, but very few ppl even look at that little red & blue triangle on the back of the box when buying for their kids. Worked in retail for 7 years, when you point things like that out to parents, they get their panties in a bunch. As if to say "who the hell are you to tell me?".

A bit off-topic. I don't know much about the game, other than it's violent but I think the God of War 2 ad with Tears for Fears "It's a Mad World" playing, is brilliant.

You'd be surprised. Ever notice how many ppl stop at the scene of an accident. They don't stop to see the damage to the cars, but rather to the ppl. Some of them even take their kids out of the car to show them what a dead body looks like.:mad:
 
this must be the 4th or 5th advert bout the PS3 thats picked up flack. I personally never saw this one, but the one with the "possessed baby" was really disturbing.
 
People need to get over themselves. With the amount of crime around all that advert was doing was depicting what the world is actually like these days.

oh please. stocks are hardly limited if you walk into a place as mundane as Tafelberg Meubileerders and the local rep tries to smear a PS3 off on you for 'only' R6300.

gimme a break.
