14 million. Thats pretty impressive. Their numbers are slowly but surely climbing. They might jump even further now with the XBOX360 price increases

Obviously they would...the xbox has been out longer then the ps3 has...you cant really compare them...what is impressive is that the ps3 is catching up even though they had a late start...

how is a south african price increase going to affect the global psn and xbox live numbers significantly?

yeah but that link is talking about ps3's sold and i was referring to the number of psn users on the ps3

and according to the article

Sony declined to release figures describing how many of their 14million PlayStation Network users are logging on with the PS3 and how many are using the PSP.

I must say that it still sucks to pay subscription and there aren't even local servers for xbox!

I stand to be corrected but the PSN doesn't offer as rich an experience as Xbox LIVE, namely there is no VoIP person to person and party chat facilities in the network and console itself, only in certain games.

I just want to play games online, I have facebook/skype/etc for all those social aspects
