Hi

I'm not sure if this is the correct forum to post, but Ive been all over the net with this, emailing whoever I can get my hands on.

I belong to quite a few forums online. without giving too much info, I would like to ask assistance or advice for the following:

We are experiencing repeated, harassment and cyberstalking on the forum from someone with plenty of online names. This guy is making credible threats, he uses online identify theft, stalking and acts of violence to emotionally harm other forum users. He uses the internet as a tool to be a criminal, as he has gone so far as to create a Website, impersonating people, and placing false nude pictures of some of the woman belonging to the forum. The website was removed after we have reported.

We have a cell phone number for this guy. My question is... even if we lay charges against this guy, what are the chances that our SAPS is going to do something about it?

I have contacted his cell provider, 2 weeks ago, they yet have to come back with me with an acknowledgement of my query.

Any advice?
 
Lmao - this is serious!!

the site was reported and it was taken off. I can still give you the link though. It says removed because of publishing malicious content.

Report the bugger, scum like him need to be locked up - but tell keep the website as pics of him & Bubba will be posted there.
Edit: - Don't PM any info just in case the scum also lurks here, under a alias.

I already did :( but yip i wont do it again :)

My question is where do I report him? What will the SAPS do about it? I dont have much confidence in them?
 
1. you have his cell
advertise at least 10 items over the next 10 days at less than half their actual value in junkmail/gumtree
obviously give his cell as the contact number

2. look up his IP & block it & all the user names that have "run" on that IP
 
Morningside Police Station, near Sandton have a special crimes/fraud unit. I'm sure every suburb has such a unit - this info previously was available in the Telkom directory, under Government depts. To be honest, haven't used one in a long time so not sure if that info is still presented there.
