Please Clarify : Telkom Sim

Thanks for the reply nadir, if it doesn't work guess I will have to contact them.
 
Both mine took a couple of days to activate - I think it took about 3 or 4 days. In fact I was ready to just throw the things away and move on with my life when I decided to chec it one last time :)

A word of warning to anybody who wants to use this not only for internet, but calls as well. I found out the hard way that voice dialling is disabled. I wanted to give the one SIM to my daughter so she could call us after school if needs be. Though she can always use whatsapp to call :)
 
You guys are lucky, I've only 250megs :-(

Why not get her an app that can call through using data? Like viber .

um on my integrated sim, i have 100gigs, which is linked to my dsl account. so if it goes down, i just use whats left on the sim.
 
Will they send the Sms to say it's activated on the sim that i did the activation from OR the Telkom Sim that needs to activated?

Did you get the SIM at a Telkom store, or was it posted. I just went into a store, asked for the integrated sim, and they linked that sim to my dsl account. That was that, and can't remember if I got a sms but it was activated upon checking
 
I got it by mail, still waiting for it to be activated. Been two days.
 
Okay here's the thing, I got a text after putting my sim into the phone. Says "configured" I then went online using my WiFi to find the apn settings. Added TelkomInternet for name and apn. Clicked save and it's not working!

What do you mean?

All I did was follow Telkoms guide which simply said.

1. Mobile Network
2. Access point names
3. Add new APN
4. Name : TelkomInternet
APN : TelkomInternet

Click save.
"user should be able to now browse the Internet "

Did all that and still not able too.

Same thing was happening to me. Mines only came right after I they called me and I gave them the numbers on the sim.
From all I've read on this issue different people are having success in different ways. Ive used twitter to contact them, some say pm telkomZA, some say go in store and lastly is to call 10210.
 
My dad just got his telkom integrated sim today.
We followed the instructions to activate. Now we just waiting for 48 hours for activation. Planning to put the sim into an iPhone .

On another note:
My father in law also received a telkom integrated sim AND and telkom mi fi router. It's fully operational and consuming his 20+20gb adsl data bundle.

What speed is he getting with this telkom mi fi router ?
