Hi guys,

This is my first time here and i am not sure if there is a place where i need to introduce myself before i post. But hi everyone.

Im just having a real problem with my router and i was wondering if anyone can shed some light on the issue for me. Telkom istalled my line and eveything is fine from that side....appled for my adsl and last week went to fetch my router and opted for the self install. The issue that im having is that the dsl light on the router keeps flashing and the internet light is a solid red. It looks like my line is not syncing or something. What settings do i need to put in the 10.0.0.2 website for the router. Any help will be much appreciated please.

0800 375 375 does not seem to help hey....but i did get a phone call late afternoon saying that someone will be at my house tomorrow to check the line....so im hoping for the best :)
 
to me it looks like they havent finalised your adsl on their side at the exchange

i was also told the same thing by a friend....the funny thing is this morning before i went to wrok....i tried my adsl and its syncing....so after 30 phone calls to the 375375 number they finally got it right.... :)
 
try this ...

Reset modem to factory default setting by pressing reset button for 15sec' might need a pen to do this. wait for the the modem to bootup properly if the light is no longer red but green you have entered your username and your incorrect try again or phone your ISP to get the proper username and password ;)
 
please contant telkom on 10215 / 0800 500 200 ask them to do a line Attenuation also ask them to confirm your adsl username and password..once you have done that you can give us a call on 086 011 0041 for further assistance.
