Lol... yeh... just like guns kill.. and water drowns

I wouldn't call 15km over speeding

No, and you know that.

Once again, I ask the question...wtf is it with South African drivers that they think that they have the right to ignore speed limits, as it is apparently only the taxi drivers who drive like a s s holes!?

I accept full responsibility when I get a summons, until such a time I don't deem the fine valid.

Say what you want, speed doesn't kill, just as guns don't.

Where do you check?

I know of viewfines, but not all municipalities are on there.
I got a hat trick of fines from a stretch of road around Hanover, for doing 131 , 132 and 133 km/h.

Interesting...if you were in a 120 zone, only the last fine should have been relevant, as 132 is the cutoff point.

You can always check on www.payfine.co.za

Yes, the 10% rule...

Doesn't apply up there it seems, must have been rookie PIG day.

The 10% rule should apply throughout the country. You cannot have different municipalities changing the rules to suit themselves

Yeah, I'm a bit pissed with those fines, I was actually on cruise control, which I set at 130 km/h.
Obviously I got it wrong.

130 speedo = 127 gps on my car.

Then you have a very accurate speedo...just looking through my manual on my speedo cruise, it says that it may fluctuate up to 5 mph, so setting your SC at 130 is possibly going to get you into trouble, which it obviously has... :(

Safer to set it at, say a true 125 if you want some leeway for error.

Viewfines, payfines, paycity.... or they arrive by mail.

I read somewhere that they planed on scraping the 10% rule, not sure if it was in SA or Aus though.
