Pretty happy. Solid connection - only issues so far have been due to exchange congestion (not their fault).
Customer service feedback is rather lacking though.

I got the 100mbps fiber line from Webafrica when it first arrived in my area and I never had a single problem. They always helped when I had queries about the speeds and when I lost the login details. I recently upgraded to the 200mbps line and my experience has been almost exactly the same, although the only problem I have is that if I want to play Battlefield (doesn’t matter which) I have to reset the router as it keeps saying “lost connection to the server” before even joining. But I can live with that.

U get high latency between 6pm and 10pm every night on 20mbps fiber line with vumatel, would expect more from a fiber line

I am still waiting for 3 tickets to be answered and for them to confirm that my Cell C product is cancelled as at 30 September. They don't care about their customers. They don't even have a functioning telephone system. If you call them up and press 4 for accounts nothing happens.

Meh WebAfrica is too expensive.

Paying 629pm for 10mb uncapped fibre vs 550pm at Vox.

Service = average
Connection = stable

Fibre connection has gone offline a few times but I think it was due to maintenence. WebAfrica does a poor job of communicating maintenance issues.

WA isn't Afrihost bad but they ain't that good either.

Reason for staying: Shitty claw back clauses from other fibre ISPs(yea Im looking at you Vox idiots)

Oh yea and Cool Ideas doesn't offer a recurring payment option via card. It also seems to be a pain in the ass to change fibre providers. Fibre isps have learnt how to screw over clients from adsl days. Read terms & conditions page closely

I have been with Web Africa for a couple of years, so far no real problems, although i use it mostly at night, twilight hours, havent used it for streaming yet.

I signed up for Fibre recently and am very disappointed. I first signed up for a 400GB capped package and consistently got the speed (20/20) I paid for. I then migrated to uncapped and despite sitting at less than 25% of FUP threshold my linespeed very frequently drops to ONE. It is extremely frustrating and absolutely useless for watching Netflix half of the time. When I call the support centre I listen to stupid jokes until I kill the connection not wanting to listen to the same boomerang joke over and over. This is terrible service and I am now seriously considering cancelling the service.

I've been with them for 6 weeks on Octotel 20Mb fibre. The speed is a consistent 20Mb up, 5Mb down. Latency varies from 8 to over 100.

The standard router they provide with their home packages (tp-link c20) is utter useless garbage. With constant Wi-Fi disconnects 6 metres from the router through one 20cm wall. 8m away through 2 walls my PS4 and TV can't even get useable signal for 720p youtube.

Customer service I'd give 6/10. Super friendly but not very efficient. Took forever and MANY phone calls to get my VOIP up and running. My landline number porting request was denied and after 2 weeks they didn't even bother to let me know.

When the tech guy installed the router he knocked down a shelf in my kitchen and smashed 12 cocktail glasses. Not the greatest way to start, but that's just bad luck hey.

If I had to do it again I would stick with Octotel but consider other providers. Service with setting up was a bit slack.

Initially my 100mb line was fine but lately it's been pathetic. Can not recommend

I have been with Webafrica for about 4 months now and cannot complain. I have the uncapped 20/2mbs package and it works well for my needs.

No issues with my internet connection, think the price for fibre is above average but still affordable.

Web Africa was great on my 40mbps VDSL, but after upgrading to 100mbps Fibre I've had non-stop problems with high latency and packet loss in online games. Support keeps telling me to do a Speedtest but that doesn't test the volatility of a persistent connection. The only reason I haven't switched ISPs is because I don't know if it's on Web Africa's side or if it's due to the new fibre network itself.
That is most likely the ISP. Fiber most likely has no connection rather than packet loss while the switches etc are all new and should not be congested yet (except maybe froogfoot, heard they messed up the network design in Constantia, but that was a couple of years ago so should be fixed now).

Well it is Frogfoot, but I'm looking at changing to a different ISP so I guess we shall see. Thanks for the reply.

I have been with Iburst since 2005 without any major hiccups. Initially I was with Interprise which was great. then they sold out to VOX who really screwed things up for me. So I dumped them and went direct to Iburst and again things went well for a while. NOW that they are RAIN they don't deal directly with their clients and they supposedly handed their clients to Afrihost in March but for some reason Afrihost couldn't find me on their client list or were able to get a connection to RAIN as I already had a router. No matter. I discarded them and went with Webafrica who signed me up immediately with delivery of sim card the following day. However their usage graph is way off. If I switch on my router for two hours their usage tells me I have used a Gb or more. Recently I have not been home much so am running on last months carry over and have managed to use up 64% in 7 days!!!! I am not really impressed with their answers as they cannot tell me what my Wifi is being used on. They can only tell me how much is being used. I suspect that there is someone who has hacked into it in my neighbourhood.

100/100 Fibre connection with WebAfrica. Between 6 and 11 PM get worse than ADSL speeds - at other times, speeds are better, but nowhere close to 100Mbps. Ticket has been open for a month - no progress.

Been with them since at least 2008 (DSL), and since Dec 2017 on fibre. I'm leaving reluctantly, because it's all mostly been fine. But I upgraded my fibre from 100/100 to 200/10 a couple of weeks ago, and am still only seeing 100 (or less) download, and around 100 (or less - but much more than 10) upload. My connection is stable and fast enough, but still, I want to get something close to what I pay for, so will be trying another ISP out. In terms of customer service and retention, it strikes me as odd that WA haven't reached out at all to ask why a long-term customer is leaving.

my 100mbps fibre is dead as a doornail between 5pm-10pm. I should be refunded for those hours....
