The Linux section has been way too quiet lately!

Thought I'd just inform those of you who don't know yet that Plex is busy with a true cross platform version of the client which has now been renamed to Plex Home Theatre (http://elan.plexapp.com/2012/12/). It is also good to know that it's been built on the latest XBMC Frodo code base.

Best of all there will be Linux versions available, so the dream of a completely standalone Plex install is on the horizon.

I have already set it up on a separate drive on my htpc to test the Fedora builds which are available to PlexPass members. It is all looking very promising at the moment and the experience is super smooth and just seems a lot more responsive than the equivalent Windows versions (and it's only a test build!).

PlexPass members can view progress here: http://forums.plexapp.com/index.php/forum/124-plex-home-theater-preview-releases/

For the latest Fedora 17 and 18 RPMs you can check this thread (also only PlexPass members): http://forums.plexapp.com/index.php...17-18-plex-home-theater-rpms-updated-0994104/
