Plugg Uncapped ADSL Feedback

YouTube streaming has been pretty bad the last two days. I haven't been able to do 720p, now the auto resolution is putting me at 240p.

Using a three star provisioned account (similar as to your account currently) testing from PE (which would also work via CTN IPC) grabbing the first video from https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4fwAseQoUCs

(excuse the nasty url)

Code:
root@dsltest-pe:~# wget 'http://r4---sn-pn-woce.c.youtube.com/videoplayback?sver=3&ratebypass=yes&ip=&mt=1371202461&mv=u&key=yt1&expire=1371225600&sparams=cp%2Cid%2Cip%2Cipbits%2Citag%2Cratebypass%2Csource%2Cupn%2Cexpire&id=e1fc00b1e428502b&itag=22&ipbits=8&ms=au&fexp=900064%2C922912%2C900352%2C921047%2C924605%2C928201%2C901208%2C929123%2C929121%2C929915%2C929906%2C929907%2C929125%2C925714%2C929919%2C931202%2C928017%2C912512%2C912515%2C912521%2C906906%2C904488%2C931910%2C931913%2C932227%2C904830%2C919373%2C906836%2C933701%2C904122%2C900816%2C926403%2C912711%2C930618%2C930621%2C929606%2C910075&cp=U0hWRlJNU19FSkNONl9KR1dHOmN4dFI1ektBZ3oy&upn=TVhhL8mrK5o&source=youtube&newshard=yes&signature=77BA1FBE73E86FCAFFEF84E4BC9D1D30E95DD89D.D8622516568F1E31EBA45916F924E4D62877643E&title=Bitcoin%20Mining%20Is%20Dead' -O /dev/null

Right, so this is actually the part that matters.

So getting 289.71K/s to youtube which I do not think is bad for this time of day and given your star rating. Will do this test account tonight, when deemed 'off peak' to see if there is a difference.

Hey Janitor,

I am having issues connecting to the iTunes store. When I try download an app on my phone I get the message "could not connect to iTunes store". If I switch to different ISP or 3G then it works. Are you guys having peering issues? Or is there some other issue I should be aware of?

Hi Janitor

Youtube performance is really bad for me too. any quality loads for about 2 seconds and then dsnt load anything for about 30sec. This repeats over and over. Its hard to watch any video like this.

Nothing that I am aware off. Ive quickly tested (Untitled.jpg) connecting with my own phone and accessed the store without hassles.

Could I ask that you log a call with [email protected] so that they can do some troubleshooting.

Could you try youtube again for me and let me know if you still having a problem.

It's playing fine hey. Auto quality chooses 360p and around 40sec increased to 480p. I manually select 720p and it plays with no buffering aswell.

EDIT: I don't have anything else running in the background and my line has been idle all day until I got home around 2pm when all I've been doing is browsing and the odd video or two.

EDIT 2: Don't know if that has anything to do with it?

EDIT 3: Also I tested 30 mins after your request.

On any quality that video hardly loads at all. Takes about 30sec to load 5 seconds of the video then freezes.

Forgot to mention that I am using unotelly DNS. Don't know if that has anything to do with it?

Well this is using my line at home, even though it's 10Mb it only sync at 8.

without any hassles watching 720p - youtube.png

Will definitely going to look further into the Youtube issue you experiencing.

I normally run with 4 to 10. In this case it does not matter, if I use one or 10, the sum of the speed is 200kbps. New stuff I normally just use news.plugg. This behavour is new, it was not like this before. Hence my question if I I am doing something wrong. I stick to the 11 to 6.
