Plugg Uncapped ADSL Feedback

nah Im just joking man. I'm about to cancel as well and have also signed up with 10mb.

Plugg also served me well, but time to move on.

edit : unfortunately I had to let my buddies and family know about this as well... :erm: So in essence Im only one person, but count for about 12. Dunno who those 12 will tell.... ouch

LOL -

on Saturday night I was up till late and Connection / IS definitely seemed to open the pipes

Diablo patch was consistently coming down at over 900

and a bit later, some linux d/l were bursting to 1.3MB

Ok nvm cancelled plug and moved over to connection, might be back in a few months for all I know though.

Hey Janitor

Welcome back, hope you had a good one :)

As you can see lots is happening, mainly, can we make this thread a combo of plugg and connection?

I think they are one in the same when plugg's pricing gets adjusted :)

I prefer to keep Connection out of the Plugg thread. It two different companies managing the accounts.

I can not speak for Connection since they are managed by Incredible Connection. I have no view into the accounts either and this will end up confusing people. Connection is a reseller of IS where Plugg is the consumer arm of IS. Incredible Connection dictates how they want their packages out in the market.

Hi Janitor

Do you have any update as to when the pricing will be adjusted? I saw your response from a few pages back where you said you were waiting for feedback from product management. I want to upgrade to a 10MBps uncapped account and seriously can't justify sticking with PLuGG for the current advertised price of R1299.

Thanks in advance.

I am hoping to hear this week. There is a meeting scheduled for Wednesday so I am really hoping that they are coming with some new figures to the table.

:D

You need to tell your call centre okes this - got a call this evening from one of the connect reps and he said I can send my docs to support_at_plugg.co.za - "it's fine, we monitor the same inbox for plugg and connect" :D

Makes the price difference even more incomprehensible

The support functionality is outsourced to the same company that handles Plugg's. Incredible Connection is a reseller of Internet Solutions and they should NOT be mixed with Plugg at all.

Could you please email me [email protected] with the relevant details as I want to take this further.

Thanks

PM me

Can you maybe update the post as to when it is safe to download?

I stick to the 11 to 6 windows 7 days a week, but don't see stars higher than 3 stars.

I'm thinking that if you do 23h00 to 06h00 religiously, then you don't drop below 3 stars, but you drop from 5.

That's the assumption I work from without having more knowledge.

None of us know exactly how that algorithm works.

PS am really sad to move from Plugg, it's worked well for me and janitor does excellent work as a rep here.

I will test your theory as my plugg account is back up to 5 stars as of today, so the experiment will go like this:

I will use my other account during 7am-11pm, then will log into the plugg account to do the overnight downloads. Log back into other account in the morning. Let's see if the star rating changes before the end of the month.

+1 about moving from plugg where we have janitor as a rep.

Cheers,

Cool.

I'm doing it the other way around.

Logged into Plugg account during the day (throttled at 2 meg by the router, no downloads, normal web browsing, hardly any video, mobile phones and tablet connections

Zero traffic at night.

Let's see what happens.

Bit of a useless test actually - no reason for it to drop below the current 5 stars with such light usage.

Cool beans, I'm still curious as to the outcome so not so useless :)
