Plugg Uncapped ADSL Feedback

I have a feeling that from R429 to R376.32 is not quite good enough... :erm:

edit: maybe it was a mistake or something, coz the site is definitely reflecting old pricing again now

True that - although, it's janitor who is the 'premium' component, the call centre is the same.

Janitor is more than one person though i think? You get the broom sweeping, sprinkler fixing Janitor and then you get the all business no play Janitor. The sprinkler fix Janitor started off the account and doesnt appear as much :o

Just don't tell the boss about the 'all business, no play Janitor' ;-)

was on their site momentarily... its back to the old pricing now though

They are busy updating the website with the new pricing, just give them time to complete the work. I've also asked that they enable the notification page, linking it up with IS' notification system; this should keep you informed of any DSL related outages on the network.

As Ive mentioned before, Plugg will never be able to compete with IS' resellers when it comes to pricing. Looking at the analysis; they have been able to reduce the capped pricing far more than the uncapped ones. Unfortunately when it comes to uncapped there are more restrictions in place in order to keep the resellers happy.

Is anyone else experiencing a decrease in Plugg uncapped account quality in the past 2 months or so?

I generally use around 140GB per month on a 4Mbit account. I don't think it is excessive (but please correct me if it is). In the past 2 months I have experienced a slowdown of my internet until it went down to 5-15KB/s on usenet. After trying to figure out why I noticed that I was on 2 stars which explains a lot. My question is whether my stars are being taken away quicker since the Telkom ADSL upgrades. I have never before even checked my star rating because my connection has never become slow enough for me to bother.

If this is what we will get from uncapped accounts now I guess that I should go back to a capped account - 150GB is not much more expensive than a 4Mbit uncapped account (of course taking the capped account from someone other than Plugg since their capped prices are from a decade ago). The only hassle is in the month where I use 160GB I need to make a plan for the extra 10GB.

the masses are moving back to the IS network. It's only gonna get worse.

a good reason why you never sign a ISP contract. month to month is the only option these days.

I suspect you are are not managing your downloads well. I use the internet normally during the hours of 6am till 23:00pm. I surf, watch a odd youtube clip, play Facebook games, listen to podcasts. I download (news servers / steam) between 23:00 and 6 am, 7 days a week. On 32gb for February already. I am on 5 stars, have been for the past 2 weeks or so.
