Plugg Uncapped ADSL Feedback

I had to unfortunately move from Plugg because of the pricing issue, will always consider coming back to them if they get there prices in line with the rest of the ISPs. I get the feeling that Plugg isnt really a top concern for Internet Solutions management because everything takes way too long to be implemented.

That is not true. I have mentioned this on numerous occasions. The moment Internet Solutions decides on the new pricing structure for their resellers, then only will Plugg get its turn. Internet Solutions definitely do not want to be seen as competing with their own customers.

I know that, but you guys havent even reacted to the previous price changes months ago. Besides i wasn't only referring to pricing i was also talking about website changes etc. Anyways im not trying to have a go at Plugg, i will certainly consider coming back once you sort the pricing out.

Gonna call Incredible Corruption and see what the deal is all about.

I've already confirmed that it's 499 month to month for 10mb uncapped, but the jury is still out on the concurrent connections...

Jury is in... 1 concurrent connection

FSCK

:D

You must have other issues.

On 3 stars (300GB last month and 54GB currently) and with me teamviewing into my home pc from my laptop via 3G now, I am able to type this message and log into facebook.

Well when I put in my trial OpenWeb account everything is perfect?

Maybe Janitor can help me? If not I shall just move :)

No, you are quite right.

Work started on the new portal and then halted when Internet Solutions thought it might be better to integrate Plugg into IS Ignite and so on. Things took a bit of a backseat while everybody went through all the relevant motions, however, IS decided that right now it serves them better to keep Plugg as their consumer arm.

morning Janitor

Im at a complete loss here. We all know how the star system works now, so can you please assist with the below query?

Yesterday at this time I was rated 5 stars. Between now and then I have downloaded about 700MB, 580MB of that was between 23h00 and 06h00.

line stats.JPG

Can someone please enlighten me as to why I am now on 3 stars? Its unacceptable.

Im happy to pay more for a quality service, but if cannot as so much as download a PDF file without being downgraded to 3 stars... then Im going to have to leave.

I rely 4/5 stars to ensure decent Netflix quality/service for the wife.

Im really not happy.

edit : Im really practicing self control here, and attempting to not blow a fuse

I see you are online, so if you could perhaps just let me know that you are at least looking into it so long? I'd appreciate that.

It would assist with my blood pressure.

4 to 5 stars only last if you basically don't use your connection.

I am almost religious about only downloading between 23h00 and 06h00 but 3 stars is where I remain.

I refuse to accept that. If that is the case, then they need to say so and give more concrete thresholds based on network activity. To be downgraded 2 stars for using 120MB outside of "off-peak" is unacceptable.

I have remained loyal to Plugg for a long time now, but if this is what is to come, with the multitude of ISP's starting up, using IS bandwidth (GamCo, Incredible Connection), then I will most definitely be taking my business somewhere else.

/remaining calm still

Just because it appears that I am online, doesnt mean I am online; my mobile phone connects to the site on regular intervals. I do not browse the site/forums constantly.

It is being looked at.

If you would like me to send you my username, I can do that as well. Though I think you have it from a prior query.

edit : and thank you for looking into it

IS' provisioning system shows that your account changed to three stars on the 6th of December.

Since the 6th, we see the account bordering between 3 & 4 stars and eventually went up to 5 stars yesterday morning at 06:40. At 10:41:53 you connected with your second line and saw you drop to 4 stars at 10:52 (concurrent sessions will drop your priority faster than normal).

Your account stayed on 4 stars till 19:50 when you dropped to 3. The account continued to fluctuate between 3 and 4 stars till midnight.

ok wait hold on a moment here...

Concurrent connections drop your star rating quicker? that is fine, I mean that makes sense because you can consume more data at the same time, but it should still revolve around USAGE. But I am being penalised for simply being connected?? In that 10 minutes from when I was 5, dropped to 4, there was almost no activity on the account at all. This tells me that one is penalised simply for utilizing concurrent connections?

Yes? No?

There was basically no further activity on the account , aside from about 120MB that was downloaded between 17h30 and 19h00. This resulted in me being dropped from 4 to 3

Yes? No?

Your priority will drop quicker if the system detects dual connectivity. It is however not just about your usage but also network capacity. Yesterday we saw higher demand due to the memorial.

How does the system justify dropping a level when there was virtually zero activity on the account? You skirting around the issue Im specifically aiming at here.

Are people with dual connection penalised, regardless of usage/network. Coz based on what you said, it would appear so? I connected my 2 line, and 10 min later Im down a star... I dont see how usage/network plays part in this equation at all!?!? (in this specific scenario)

You are making it difficult to respond since you keep on editing and adding additional issues to the initial post.

Not at all. I've said that if you are using two concurrent sessions you will see your priority drops quicker than somebody using a single connection.

If the system detects a second connection, whether you are sending traffic through both or not, a different rule set applies to the account. The system works according to the account and its allotted product type, not whether one line transfers more than the other.

It plays a big role. At that time we saw network usage going up, you just happened to connect your 2nd line during that time that moved you to a different class.

Out of Office
