Plugg Uncapped ADSL Feedback

I meant "to" as in change.

When you move ISPs you are bound to their 'product' set. You can not really compare Plugg and IC since Incredible Connection manage their packages differently.

Is this the new pricing?

The website reflects the new prices.

Now you need to excuse me, I believe we have a missing flagpole on the 6th that needs replacing.

I think that flag pole is missing, because someone used it to hang them self after they laid eyes on these disappointing price adjustments.

Actually some clown or clowns decided it would be funny to move the poles around to different holes :erm:

As for the pricing, I hear you. That is the best we can do given our agreement with the wholesalers (resellers). It is a challenge to balance retail vs wholesale, but in the end IS needs to be fair to the wholesalers (resellers)

Are IS adjusting pricing again after the latest price cut on IP Connect, or are ISP using that cut to balance their products quality rather after the line speed boost?

The second thought I had, Connections have a 4mbps @ R260, WebAfrica ask R299, Plugg offer it at R395. Does the first two cut a corner to get to that pricing with playing with contention rations or is Plugg just making a point of being uncompetitive?

I can't talk on behalf of everyone, but coming from Mweb uncapped, where it started out fantastic and got aggressively worst, with no way of knowing what one can do to improve ones own experience, I still prefer Plugg. As an ISP you guys are pretty transparent (for a SA ISP) as how you manage your accounts. I have been averaging 300gb per month. I have an great experience on browsing. I stream two webcasts every week. Ok, I choose the lowest quality possible for the video, because my area can get congested at times. I can't buy a capped account for this money and I don't want to change my usage.

I will take the R34 I save every month and have a waffle and Ice cream at the Spur.

I believe that they are looking into what the best options are after the latest IPC price-cut. It is not just a matter of cutting prices though. There are various factors that needs to be taken into consideration.

I can not speak for IC or WA. They are in control of how they want to manage their own accounts. IS merely provides them with various options, and they decide what will work for their user base.

Plugg (IS' consumer arm) will never compete with their own resellers when it comes to pricing. It would be uncompetitive if we did.

Are Plugg accounts better or not?

Of course our accounts are better than any other ISP's out there! This is my brand! Sure, we are not the cheapest, but I am confident our accounts gives you much more if used correctly.

And now, now you will have to excuse me for a bit, it seems one of the booms at the exits needs some manual intervention.

LOL! You crack me up :D

Even if they are the same, just having your "manual intervention" around is good reason enough to pay more ;)

Just signed up for AH Business Uncapped 10Mbps. Figured since I'm going to pay almost a R1k a month I might as well go with them rather than upgrading to the more expensive shaped PLuGG option. The revised pricing is really disappointing. Will cancel the 4Mbps PluGG account once I'm satisfied with AH.

Well, I only see a single email from you to me, and that was this morning at 08:27, thought I would sleep in a bit, but my apologies for not responding at that time. As for the sales peeps, they only respond during working hours.

Anyhow, you did not specify which account you would like to trial, so just popped me another email, I will be online for another 30 minutes or so.

Ok thanks Janitor...got it sorted...you're a legend...

Did the price of Plugg prepaid just go up? I could have sworn it used to be R36 for 2GB but I see on the website that it's now R56

Janitor, does my memory fail me? If not, what's the cause for this massive price hike?

Mmm, had a quick look at the pricing schedule and as I though, no changes in prepaid. Will follow up with developer in the morning to find out why the change in pricing. Have this feeling they just copied a template.

Will feedback in the morrow
