Pokemon Go!

that is cool, the key is to get high up on a stable gym in your area
I try but the spoofers have disrupted that. They also all have Snorlaxes and Blisseys so the gyms are hard to take down. Took one down the other day and list it again, but not to the same guys so that is ok.
My area is dominated by Valour and Instinct. I'm Mystic.
I find the best to be when we took out of town trips, get on gyms there and they usually last long. About 4 of my current gyms are 1 and 1/2 hours away. Had 11 but they slowly took those down.
Anyway I'll see how I maintain this game with some recent changes in life.
It'll probably die out.

I almost never take out enemy gyms.
It's either spoofers or people that are close by often that take them back

My side of pta and centurion where I work is all blue. And we keep them that way. If spoofers take then we take them back in the hour.

I try to do that too.
We also prefer adding prestige, but the mystic crowd here is not that active.
We would take a gym, level it all the way to 10 and sometimes after a day the gym is not filled and gets taken.
I went to Hermanus and there were only blue gyms, got on each one with available spots and stayed there for weeks. That was a good run of claiming.

How is everyone's pokedex looking?
I'm sitting on 207 caught and 212 seen, with about 2 or 3 evolutions to new Pokémon waiting.

Went to JayBay twice last year and everytime I go there its oceans of Blue everywhere...good for my team...terrible for me, no way to get into level 10 gyms with a combination of only snorlax/dragonite/gyarados.

On a side note though, if bar1's not so subtle brag was anything to go by plus baxteen's hatch vid as well as my own recent-ish 6 10km hatches, I wonder if there is any correlation between hatching more rare pokemon if you hatch more eggs at once or is it just random. As from my personal experience, single hatches suck, but mass hatches seem to deliver better results. Ps "random" number generators are never truly random as they are usually time based and rarely seeded with a value. So if you apply that logic it is very possible that hatches might be less random in quick succession

interesting theory.

unfortunately we know some things due to research done on TSR.
the pokemon you get is determined first, then the appropriate egg is "wrapped" around it.
your chances of getting a dratini is the same as your chance to get a pinco or a nidoran. they are commons, despite being in different egg distances.

174/207 at the moment.

Got a whole lot of evolutions to do which will bump the first number up a bit.

I wish Niantic would increase the rate at which revives are dropped from stops.

I'm critically low on the bloody things at the moment.

You and your fellow Pokémon Trainers caught a lot of Water-type Pokémon during the Pokémon GO Water Festival! All in all, Pokémon Trainers caught*589 million Magikarp*during the eight days of the Water Festival. In the number-two spot was*Marill at 183 million, and*Psyduck*came in a close third at*178 million*caught. That’s a lot of adventurous kilometers and miles traveled. Well done, Trainers!

:wtf:

I hatched a Lapras from a 2km egg. Only got 9 candy though.
If I knew, I would put more focus in the 2km eggs.

Instead I caved and incubated my 4 10km eggs I was saving till I only had 10km in order to take advantage of the double candy.
