Pokemon Go!

Had to take an alternate route to work this morning because traffic was a farkup.

Ended up driving through town which was also congested, found a spot with 4 gyms within a block of each other along with 8 stops :)

You shouldn't be playing on your cellphone while driving :p

Yay, just got to claim Pokecoins with 5 gyms represented - think this is the most I've claimed at one time.

Wish the servers would hold up one evening in order for me to use a lucky egg. Don't want to risk using it and running into server issues.

Watch (and cry) as Pokémon Go earns more in minutes than you do in a year

Screenshots and all, it took all of 15 minutes to write this piece, edit it and schedule it to post on our our social media accounts.

In that same timeframe, Pokémon Go has been downloaded a staggering 72,998 times and pocketed Nintendo and Niantic a cool $163,099 (estimated). In the same 15 minutes, I’ve written a few words, pocketed a couple dollars of my monthly salary and watched in awe as AppInstitute (a DIY app builder) charted Pokémon Go’s estimated real-time assault on the word.

Ok, I must suck. Had a magmar run away earlier, and in the exact same spot 2 hours later a beedrill. Couldnt catch either of them :( Any tips?

If anyones interested. The spot between Kauai and Carmellas at cedar square seem to have the rare Pokemon constantly.

What CP Level? Anything above 300 and you will have to use a Great Ball, and possibly some rasberries if they keep knocking the ball away. Just caught an Ivysaur :)

The magmars were unknown, and the beedrill was 207.

How do I get greatballs

Unknown denotes that it's a much higher CP level then you. Unlikely that you will catch them without Great balls and Raspberries.

You need to level up to get Greatballs from Pokestops.

I've caught at least one 300+ CP (Ponyta 331CP) without great balls or raspberries, only used a single pokeball.
I'm slowly making headway. hit level 11 just now using a lucky egg and a couple of evolves and hatching an egg. I'm halfway to lvl12 already :)

Awesome, thanks. What level is needed?

I have no idea if this helps in catching pokemon but I do the spin throw and land them pretty often with a nice, great or excellent. To learn this I went to Emerentia Dam where there are about 30 pokestops in a circle collected them all a few times got 180 balls and blew all of them trying the spin thing.

I tried to do some stats but because of RNG, different types of pokemon and levels I cant be certain but from what I see a combination of these for me seems to catch pokemon a bit easier.

I often catch a 300-400 pokemon on the first throw with a normal pokeball and no raspberry but this morning a 402 bulbasaur blew through about 20 pokeballs 10 great balls and 10 raspberries.

I also found great balls to be more energetic and can barley land any spin balls with them, so back to Emerentia this weekend to blow through a lot of great balls.
