I have evolved uh.... 3 zubats already, and I have ignored about 60% of Zubats. Im not kidding. I also have tons of clefairy candy for Saturday at the monte event when I can double XP

I ignore zubats that won't be caught with 1 ball, so anything above 100cp I run from. Having serious pokeball shortages...

I've started a similar strategy as well.

Unless I'm near a bunch of PokeStops - in which case I will catch anything that I can.

Yea, I haven't had an opportunity to sit at a pokestop for an extended period of time, I stop past 4 on my way home from work and 2 on my way to gym. I have terrible luck though get like max 3 balls...
 
I have more than enough Poké Balls but I seriously need revives.

I don't know how the people in the Vaal get so lucky, if I Google what the rare Pokémon are I've basically seen everyone of them at a gym around here:

Electabuzz - check
Hitmonchan - check
Chansey - check
Lapras - check
Snorlax - check
 
I have a one ball rule.

If I hit with one ball and its a low CP pokemon that breaks free I run.

but over the last few days I have found a few good places to get pokeballs. I now have like 188 pokeballs, where on sunday I had 4.

potions is still an issue, but that is because I take on a lot of gyms before I claim. I claim for 100 gold every day
 
Someone keeps throwing a lure down at the shopping center next to where I work but am just out of range.
I can see what pokemon im missing out on and cant do a thing about it. Magmar's, growlithes, hitmonchans and charmanders :(

Who needs to work anyway? :P

Just go sit in your car at the center and catch the little buggers :D

I reckon the car guards there already think i'm dodgy stopping at the one spot for 5 minutes then going to the other side of the parking for 5 minutes in the morning before work :p
 
If you want to track down pokemon this is the best radar I have found https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pokepro.

You have to pay R14 for it but so far even when the servers have been down the app keeps working. It has been 100% accurate with finding pokemon and shows where active lures are going off.

It can be adjusted to how much of the map you want to see, uses gps location so you don't have to put in an address and shows where every gym and pokestop is.

Its only downfall is the map takes a little long to load 45 seconds or so.

It's showing me a lot more than what the pokevision site was. Will test accuracy in a bit.

can you please explain how you going to get double XP using clefairy?
 
To everyone complaining about not getting to lures (I'm one of them most days). This happened today. It's worse than not getting to lures.

And then I ran out of balls. Managed to get 1 weedle, 1 rhyhorn and 1 pidgey between all the zubats
 
They really should have a gym exchange feature, my Vaporeon is now stuck in a gym and I want him back, you should be able to change your current Pokémon with another.
