Pokemon Go!

There are 4 red team players close to the office, so they have pretty much claimed the gym nearby :/ Curses

And Zubats are easy to catch... :confused:

This game is a real battery drain. I hope in future updates it will be addressed + the ability to not stay on screen all the time. wouldn't it be awesome to receive notification of pokemon, pokestop or gym nearby? then you can login and interact...

That is what the watch is for...
And your screen can go 95% off with the battery saver setting enabled.

I cought a Charmander on my walk to the spar. I now have all 3 the base pokemon.

and for those who are wondering, it is definately worth evolving your pokemon. the level jump is real...

CP 110 Zubat became a CP 330 Golbat.

Does the game take into account the 3rd evolution of zubat? The question is, is the multiplier for a pokemon with only 1 evolution form the same as one with 2 or more?

not sure what you mean here. I know every pokemon has a different candy cost for evolution. we know Magicarp is 400 because come on, you dont want a bunch of Gyarados on top of gyms...

so I think my Zubat was 50 candy, and pigey was 25, ratata was also 25, but so is Geodude. I hope that answers the question

So if I understand this right - evolving a Zubat to a Golbat is better than catching a Golbat and levelling it?

Let me clarify.
CP 110 Zubat became a CP 330 Golbat.
Going from 110 to 330 implies a multiplier of 3.

Now, if we apply this to say, bulbasaur we'd go:
Bulbasaur 110 -> ivysaur 330 -> venusaur 990, which is hectic.

Which would imply that if there is a 3rd evolution for zubat (crowbat) it would also be 990.

Or if zubat only has only the one evolution, do we know if the multiplier for 3 stage evolutions is different, for example 1.5x -> 2x:
Bulbasaur 110 -> ivysaur 165 -> venusaur 330.
Which would bring the final evolution back inline with a 2-stage evolution.

ok I understand your question now.

I know for a fact my zubat was 110 because I transfered another one before I evolved it.

my Pigey was CP 82 then I evolved it to a pigeoto at CP 152

that is the only 3 stage evolution that I did so far.

and there is not another evolution for Golbat in the game. as far as I can see we are playing on the original 150 pokemon only.

So if I understand this right - evolving a Zubat to a Golbat is better than catching a Golbat and levelling it?

Some related information I found from another player on another website.

Better to evolve because it changes your moves and you know what you will end up with. if you power up you can evolve later and end up with crappy moves because the game switches the moves after evolving randomly.
