Pokemon Go!

I used Ebucks to buy checkers vouchers then I bought Google play Vouchers there like that.

worked quite well for me. might do it again. I am running low on eggs and incence.

/plans lunch

iOS users can't purchase eggs unless they have credit in the account they used to install gaame and set it as the active account. i.e. if u switch back to your primary SA account, in game purchases are not possible as the game is not released in SA.

What are you saving all that stardust for?

I'm saving for a lucky egg/double lure/incense/good servers and then friend doing the same. I got 45 evolves waiting some new and some old so around 60k xp, gonna try skip level 16 and 17 straight to 18.

stardust is not used in Evolutions. I think he is asking why you are not powering up your pokemon before you evolve them.

I know in my case that is because I intend to only level up my pokemon when I hit the level cap and the pokemon I catch are at the best possible starting CP Before I level them up.

as a side note, I skipped level 15 and 17 with lucky egg and 2 evolutions.

just remember a single evoloution takes about 30 seconds for animation time, and then still another 5 to 10 seconds to get into the next one.
I reccomend staring the pokemon you have ready to evolve so they are all grouped together, and then still I would not risk more than 20 evolutions per egg. the reason for this is you never know when a pokemon you want to catch might pop up and take time out of your lucky egg.

Yeah soz got confused. Just like you I think its a waste to use any stardust until I'm about level 20. Then I will use it to get one maybe two pokemon up to higher then I could normally, save again until level and pokemon are about the same rinse and repeat.

Right now the few level 800-900s I have are serving me well and I can take out most gyms, no point in buffing them up when they are at the max evolution.

On a side note does anyone take over Gyms and then leave low level Pokemon in them in hopes of the gym being taken over so you can reclaim it and get extra xp.

what I do with gyms is take them, attack them immidiately to get the prestiege up, put the fiance in, and in an ideal world, we add even more to it with other team members around.

I ahve 2 pokes over 100 CP, with 6 evolutions waiting. 2 of those evolutions will give me pokemon between 900 and 1200CP (accordding to pogotoolkit.com

I had a gym last night for 5 minutes... I'll try going for some later today.
Just caught this :

I'm level 8, that's the highest CP pokémon I currently have. Is it worth it to power it up?

IMHO it is not worth powering up pokemon until level 30 when you catch things that are at max CP. if you level it now, and next week you catch a CP 700 mankey wont you just feel silly?

Nope at level 11-12 you will find pokemon that level often, if it was a Mankey at that level then maybe.

Hi all, can you guys access the game at all? I've been struggling since 12h30 haven't gone through once?

Oh Okay, you have some admiral patients.

Kind of, I've been powering up my golbats, since it's their final form.

I have not been powering up the golbats. because I know I am going to be evolving more zubats and I might get an even higher one. as I level up more.

No point in using stardust just yet. Am lvl13, close to 14. I'm starting to see cp600's now, here and there.

Question on the move sets.
I haven't kept track, but how does it affect evolutions, or rather how does evolution affect the move sets? I know it's one of the things to look out for when you decide what to keep and what to transfer, but I haven't checked what happens after a Pokémon evolves. Do they keep the moves of the pre-evolution Pokémon? Or are the moves just replaced by moves of similar type?

I cannot answer that. I have never really looked. but when I get to level 20 and I try and skip level 21 with evolutions I will keep track of that with my pidgeys jsut to see.

as a side note to anyone interested...

ummm so doing some maths here

lets say you do 10k exp a day, times that by 365 (days in a year) = 3650xp a year

Now you need 5000000 xp to go from 39-40.

So we divide 5000000 by 3650 = 1370 (rounded off) years to go from level 39-40 YES 1370 YEARS

I think I am going to have to pass this game down to my children, to their children etc etc etc etc just to hit level 40.

Baxteen waiting to hit level cap may not be in your lifetime :)
