Pokemon Go!

ummm so doing some maths here

lets say you do 10k exp a day, times that by 365 (days in a year) = 3650xp a year

Granted, it's Friday afternoon, but 10k x 365 is not 3650, it's 3650k. So it's 3 650 000 per year.

Thanks for the other comments, Scary_Turtle and Baxteen

aslo, level cap I was refering to is level 30. it is not a player cap, but the CP cap. data from the silth road shows that there is a CP cap to any pokemon that you reach at level 30.

and another point, you will get to a point where you have caught them all, so no XP from catching new pokemon. only 1000 XP per evolve really, so you need to evolve 10 pokemon a day to get to 10K xp per day. so assuming you are catching the 40 pidgeys you need to evolve 10 times per day that is still a massive grind and a long walk.

I think that XP gap is there because 40 is the player level cap. but lets wait a week or two for the power users on reddit to post the level reward for hitting level 31 first...

You are right, mistakes were made, brain is fried answer is still 1.4 years which is insane.

Now you need 5000000 xp to go from 39-40.

So we divide 5000000 by 3650 = 1370 (rounded off) years to go from level 39-40 YES 1370 YEARS

I think I am going to have to pass this game down to my children, to their children etc etc etc etc just to hit level 40.

Baxteen waiting to hit level cap may not be in your lifetime :)

This is some horrendous math?!

10,000 (10k) * 365 = 3,650,000 (so you probably meant to type 1.37 years ;))

EDIT: Saw the other post WAAAAAAAAAAAAY to late. OOPS!

No point in using stardust just yet. Am lvl13, close to 14. I'm starting to see cp600's now, here and there.

Question on the move sets.
I haven't kept track, but how does it affect evolutions, or rather how does evolution affect the move sets? I know it's one of the things to look out for when you decide what to keep and what to transfer, but I haven't checked what happens after a Pokémon evolves. Do they keep the moves of the pre-evolution Pokémon? Or are the moves just replaced by moves of similar type?

Depends on the Pokemon

I got a Snorlax that came with 25+ candies and 45 odd CP (no evolutions), I have upgraded him to 850 CP now and I did that when I was on lvl 11. The best i'm getting in the wild is 300cp. If I didn't upgrade him then I would be able to play the gyms like I can at the moment, sure I think I have wasted some stardust on the wrong pokemon but I'd rather be able to play with what I have now.

Also they might enable battles and then there could be XP for that.

Pokémon Go in Ridgeway

Hi
Just wanted to know if they are any players in Ridgeway /JHB South area..and what levels are they at. Ridgeway seems barren with just one Poke stop at the mosque ! I am hoping more stops gyms etc will be added prior to launch .

So for ****s and giggles I decided to run one of the available bots this afternoon on a spare pc with a new gmail...yeah, Niantic is going to have to do something quickly.

Ran the thing from about 1pm to 4pm in the V&A waterfront. Got to level 14 with over 700 items despite bag limits etc.

This will basically kill the game once trading is implemented

Guys from work were sitting at the pub down the road. Walked past on my way home. They reckon a guy saw one on his iPhone, but they couldn't see it on their Androids.

Some lil bugger in my area has a dragonite and just put it in his stupid little red gym to show off.

Took care of that.
