Pokemon Go!

I play pokemon go on my phone.
so when I am not playing pokemon go, my phone is on charge....

its the main reason why I have almost given up on hearthstone, cos I get home to a flat battery, charge my phone and leave the house when its full. come back and its empty again (and I have 10 gyms)
then its bed time.

I want to play on my laptop while my phone is on charge

Have you tried RetroArch?

Have you tried RetroArch?

I did. on my machine the screen stayed black when I loaded up a game, and the screen would only display what was happening when I moved the mouse over, but if the entire screen changes it goes black again.

same issue I have with workbench.

its something to do wiht my CPU and the linux kernal. I am constantly lookign for a fix trust me.

Should just not play after lunch

Which CPU and version of Linux?

Have you tried booting into a live OS built for retro gaming?

I have not tried booting into another OS becacuse I struggled so much to get this install working.

I am running a core i5 Skylake and I have mint 17.3 right now. but I also had to change the Kernal to a different version cant remember what version though. and I am not running Cinnmon I am running the other one cant think of its name this late on a friday afternoon.

but the issue is with skylake and its graphix rendering.
I want to see if people with the same processor have had better luck on mint 18 before I update, and so far I have had no reports.

as a side note, the issue with the graphix driver also chows the battery life of the laptop, I only get about an hour and a half with low brightness and no wifi on. its kinda sad.

also @InSanity FU, I still have not found a single dratini never mind a dragonite

If you boot from a live OS it won't change anything to your current config as it's run completely off of the USB drive.

You should check out Lakka: The open source game console, Lakka is a lightweight Linux distribution that transforms a small computer into a full blown game console. All you do is download the 175MB OS, make a bootable drive using any flash drive and boot from that and see.
