we can only call it a nest if two of the same pokemon spawn on screen at the same time.
I have seen that with growlith and Meowth (and ratata, pidgey, zubat and paras)

but never with anything else.

I would reccomend finding a tracking site that is being updated in your area.
try the silph road, and also update what you find on there. weird people like me like looking at data in a bigger picture kind of way. I have multiple spawn locations through them.

I use a site called pokeview.co.za but it ONLY works if you are in pretoria and centurion and at that not all of pta....

no idea.
what I do with it is deselect like 90 odd pokemon, turn off pokestops and gyms.
put on notifications for snorlax, dratini(family), laprass and magic carp.
then i pin the tab and leave in in browser. when something pops up I have a look if I can get to it.
when I logged in just now there was a dragonite out towards rooihuis kraal. WAY too far for me to get to. but good to know its on the map at least.

not really. I mean sometimes it finds your location...

honestly having used it for about 3 weeks now I can give these tips.
do not use on the phone. use on desktop.
turn off pokestop and gyms.
set up notifications as you need.
remove zubat, weedle, catepie, pidgey, paras, geodude, dodio and other useless things.

zoom all the way out.
see where it covers. manually zoom to your area. if it is covered. if not, sorry dude. maybe if you sponsor the guy and ask him to scan your area ass well you might have some luck

Just so you know all the scanning apps are the exact same as people that use bots, in terms of abusing the API and causing strain to the servers.

fully aware of this.

but the only difference here is am I walking to the spar or to the checkers for lunch?
does Dragonite spawn in the greater pretoria area at all or are all the ones I see cheaters?

having been on this site for about 3 weeks, I can say I have seen 3 dragonites in total. so I feel the people who have them are either VERY lucky, or they cheat. plain and simple.

and my battery is very happy I use the site, now pokemon go is no longer open 20 odd hours a day...

One of the complaints you had with the botters were they caused unnecessary strain to the servers causing them to be offline and unreliable, which then made Niantic focus on fixing things instead of developing new things.

A couple of weeks ago you went off on another forumite that admitted he used a bot for research purposes and never played with the account because it was detrimental to the server and you wished all his accounts banned and hoped he only catches Zubats from then on, yet by using this scanning site it's exactly the same as using a bot.

The way this scanning site works is the guy made a script that registered a bunch of PTC accounts, these accounts are entered into bots that are set to run around town and relay the info of where Pokemon are encountered and this info is aggregated and listed on the site.

this particular site has 1 account running though a bot. that is why its a small area.

and yes I went off at a fourumite for botting.

but I have also said on many occasions I am a hippocrite :whistle:

as a side note, the real difference comes in the fact that the legit way to do this via crowd sourced sites like the silf road simply do not work in SA.
and seeing as we are all cheaters in niantics eyes what is the point in even trying?

have you gone through the effort of trying to get the office number and give them a call to set up an interview at all? I actually did and guess where it got me?

The hypocrite part was all answer I needed.
 
So the first time the site has worked for me.

Snorlax was about 1km from my office.
Ran to where it was.
Caught it with a raz and an ultra ball.

Out of breath now. But it was worth it

There's been 3 Snorlax and a Dragonite pop up today on the site.

Yours has the strongest moveset as well... Arse.

Nice catch, I wonder what's up with Snorlax, mine is 1818 and yours is 2121. The big guy likes doubling up.
