Pokemon Go!

You get one candy for completing the task but you can find candy during the walk. Well that's what I have read anyway. Finding candy is supposed to be rng based

What changed:

Pokémon GO is in the process of being updated to version 0.37.0 for Android and 1.7.0 for iOS devices. Below are some release notes and comments from our development team.
- Implemented Buddy Pokémon: Trainers will now be able to choose one of their Pokémon to be their buddy. A Trainer can earn Candy for their Buddy Pokémon by walking a certain distance.
- Made it easier to select smaller Pokémon on the screen.
- Fixed an issue where Eggs would sometimes hatch without displaying the animation.
- Improved performance reliability when a device switches networks to no longer cause the application to hang or stop updating.
- Pokémon GO Plus support
- Minor text fixes.
We continue to focus on eliminating bots and scrapers from Pokémon GO. Rooted or jailbroken devices are not supported by Pokémon GO. Remember to download Pokémon GO from the official Google Play Store or iTunes App Store only.

So, who did you guys choose to be your buddy? I have an odish that require 1 more candy to evolve

My first was a shelder. Also needed one candy.

I'm halfway there atm.
Next up will be a seal, for about 20 candies.
I have seen one and hatched one so...
After that, grimmer, koffin, kabuto.
Those just don't show up often enough for me to evolve them.

After that it will be dratini for like 100 candies. I know it will take forever but I have a 700 dratini that has 92%ivs...

I originally picked Squirtle cause its the close to getting evolved, but looking at the chart above I'm going to change my strategy. I'm going to change my strategy. I'm going to do the 1Km Pokemon that I haven't yet evolved, then I'll jump to the 3Km. I'm pretty far away from earning a lucky egg, so I will evolve them now. I'm doing this so I can fill up my Pokedex.

Only later on will worry about walking Pokemon to level them for gyms

No XP received.

You don't get XP you get candies, walking round the block will likely not do much either The app measures location every few min only and then calculates the straight line distance between the 2 points. You need to walk away from where you are, wait a few min then walk back to ensure it registers.

Other things I see floating around you might need to take note of:

- Evolving your buddy will lose its progress
- You can not stick a buddy in a gym.
- You can see how much candy you'll receive by clicking the menu button

Things I would like from Niantic:

- Fix the damn tracking for hatching eggs & walking buddies.
- Your buddy can help attract Pokemon of the same type.
- your buddy also picks up stardust

I know. I was just testing out a bunch of theories which are popping up on Silph Road

OP of the image just admitted he caught something before

I keep having a problem when inserting an egg into an incubator. I have to do it a number of times before it actually appears in an incubator.

Anyone else?
