you can now buy max revives in the shop (freaking 180 gold for 6!) and max potions are 10 for 200 coins.

bit steep, but I am glad it is an option....

Was surprised to see this myself - considering that I'm only level 29.
 
Ok been in my first raid. Was cool. You can take it on with fewer players. Don't seem to be too rare either. There's a second one starting in the next hour.
 
Update. Raids are pretty common lol. There's around five or six due to start shortly. The problem now is going to be deciding which one to target.
 
I need to stop long enough at one to take one down. But I must say I really do enjoy the new gym interface.
 
so yesterday 8 cars pull up in front of our house as the level 4 raid is about to start.

after that, I got in a car with one of them, and we drove around looking for level 4 raids.

here is what I have found.
1) I am not that high a level.
2) level 4 raids are worth paying for. or at least SNorlax, lapras and TTar . the rest, not worth it.
3)level 4 raids need at least 6 people. ideal is 8 though.
4) there are whatsapp groups in my area of dedicated players, hunting and playing to a point where I look casual.

there is a star rating under the pokemon on the map when the raid shows. as well as egg colour.
purple eggs are level 1 and 2. yellow eggs are 3 and 4.
level 1 and 2 raids are easy.
level 1 is gen 2 starters' second form and magicarp
level 2 is muk, weezing, exceute, and other things like that.
both of those you can take on your own with no problem, there is enough time and 6 pokemon wiht STAB and type advantage will get though. in time. you might end up needing to fight with a second set of pokemon, but you can do it alone.

level 3 is Arcanine, alakazam, gangar, machamp, vapeorion, jolteon and flareon.
you cannot take this on your own. 2 people can do it together, but like a level 2 you might end up loosing your first 6 and needing to go in again.

level 4 is much harder. you need 6 people. minimum.
we failed to take down a venesour between 4 people. levels 33, 35,36 and 39.
level 4 is Snorlax, Tyranitar, Lapras, Venesour, blasstoise, charizard and Rhydon.
apparently Ttar you need a minimum of 10 people or you wont make it though.

honestly, get a group of people together, find something.

Did a raid yesterday with another person and caught an Electabuzz, new one for me!! 2 people took down Electabuzz easily.

correct, its one of the level 2 pokemon. and so is magamar.

the way I see it, the raids are for those hard to find pokemon.
maybe we will get lucky, and have a level 2 become chancey, polygon, mareep, tediursa, larvitar/pupitar

honestly I would do a level 3 for either of those. but not for arcanine. and I do not understand why Rhydon is a level 4 either.

Had a Lapras raid go down this am didn't even bother to leave my office because it would have been a solo effort. Max we can get so far is four in a raid. Pmb players are few and far between. Even Dbn seems to have died down in PG interest.

get those 4 people's number and create a group.
they will start adding people, you will find new people and add them.

before you know it you will have a nice big group going, and you guys will start oranising grinding sessions and gym raids.

it starts with one person taking the inentive...
 
Managed to try two low level raids on the weekend. Good fun, will have to find some people to tackle some bigger ones
