Pokemon Go!

My friend joined the WhatsApp group. Was shocked at how happy they are to offer spoofing services if you are short on a raid. They see nothing wrong with it. My friends and I will be avoiding that group

I've got 0 luck when it comes to catching legendaries.

Golden Razz + great or better throws and have manged to catch 1 Articuno so far :/

Not sure what everyone is still on about, the number of spoofers i've seen has reduced dramatically, in actual fact i have not seen a single one in any of my legendary raids

Luckily you've caught the only one you cannot catch anymore, so that's good. On a side note i can just say keep on trying.
A side note this guy prodigynation or something has a trick to throw excellent on each throw and all the big youtubers are using it, might be worth a try, but i have had varied success with it.

I have gotten it right afew times, and failed with it as well.
the thing is you need to figure out how long throwing the curve balls take for you.
maybe it takes you a bit longer than me, so you need to leave the circle halfway though great, where mine is where excellent starts.

you need to practice it on normal catches, when you ahve it down, then you move on to try it on legendaries.

Bagged a Moltres last night - which was awesome.

Lugia still evades me - but I will catch the psychic bugger eventually.

Nice :D

The biggest issue I have with legendary raids is coordinating people - it can be very much like herding cats.

Moltres is at least easy. you can do it with between 3 and 8 people depending on level.

I think (have not had the oppertunity to try yet)
myself (level 34 with 5 golems and 1 Ttar)
my wife (level 33 4 golems 2 Ttar)
and 1 other mystic player wiht the same as either of us can take a moltres on our own.

True, but every other one has a different range, so yes you might get the curve right but not the distance

Moltres raid if anyone interest. 25 minutes left.

100 Durban Rd, Oakdale, Cape Town

I don't have any of the birds yet.

so, I found an interesting an helpful trick today to help me get to a point where I can take on a moltres with 3 people.
I rename my golems with a formula.
Hex value of IV attack stat. Hex value of IV def stat Hex value of IV HP stat fast move type(1 letter) charge move type (1 letter) then level.

so my best golem is now called
dbf rr 33.5 (2584 CP)
and my worst golem is 1/10/7rr34.5 (2437 CP)

how will this help me 3 man a moltres?
there is a video of 2 guys taking a moltres down on their own
in order to achieve that, you need to get your pokemon past the "breaking point" in order for the move to do more damage.
this breaking point is dependant on pokemon level, and attack IV.
for instance a golem with rock throw, and a 15 attack stat needs to be level 31.5 in order to deal 16 damage per attack instead of 15

so my plan is to get 5 golems past breaking point.
and do the same for my wife.

just thought I would share the new found knowlage.

That's next level stuff.
I just want to beat this things face in with my normal pokemon so I can get a legendary.
I'll just have to wait and hope I get a raid with some people before the birds disappear or become less frequent.

Sorry, you have to explain this "breaking point" stuff, as well as how renaming you mon to hex values, i'm assuming breaks the game? From what i've seen niantic has string limit on the naming what your allowed to name the creatures, so i do not see how this will create a glitch?

the renaming is just so I can keep track. f= 15, e = 14 d = 13. that is the hex value names. nothing game breaking at all.

how breaking point works is:
if you have 3 Golems.
one is level 30.
one is level 31.5
one is level 40
all have an attack IV of 15.
the first golem will do 15 damage to moltres per attack.
the second golem will do 16 damage to moltres per attack
the third golem will do 16 damage to moltres per attack.

so the breaking point, for a golem with 15 attack IV, is level 31.5

here is a nice post explaining counters to different raid bosses and their breaking points

Cool, i understand it now, but its not really optimal use of stardust and candies, as damage/hp/defence increase past level 30 on each creature is really minimal and the total difference in cp is also so little. Take my gyrados for example maxed its cp at level 30/31 (cannot remember) to 2850 and i'm currently level 32 but the max possible cp is 3,234, thats only 400cp on a perfect mon and the damage output between the two negligible.

Damage output increase a lot more, by simply inviting one more person to the fight.

Not arguing that.

But I want to take on a moltrez with 2 people who are not level 40
