Pokemon Go!

Essentially my little rant goes like this, take clash of clans for example, is it fair that some youtuber/kid with daddy's credit card/rich dude can max out their base the same day it is released, no, is it fun, I highly doubt it. It used to annoy me, but I realize it is what i take from the game that matters. For me this is a fun exploration app and sometimes even a training app (go out running with it), to me its not fair that so many of you can play this game for hours a day. I for the most part, play it on my way to work and back, sometimes lunch times and sometimes when i'm in a mall. So should i complain now, because I do not have as much time to play this game as other people and say its unfair, is it my fault that i often work 12 hours a day??? You should simply not compare yourself to others

Out of curiosity, why?

Also, referring back to my previous posts regarding issues that I have with the Go plus, turns out it's not the battery either. Friday evening I decided to randomly try and connect the go plus, and voila. It works. Didn't change anything. Guess the weather was just good that day...

I took part in the Mewtwo raid at Duncan Yard yesterday.
it was for a friend who was in Mozambique.

the Mystic group organized to take the Gym and keep it blue.

we held of a combined assault from about 30 Instinct and 15 Valour players for close to 3 hours.
the 8 of us managed to keep feeding golden razies as the motivation dropped. co-ordinated defense, against a co-ordinated attack. and we came off on top.

next EX raid the mystics agreed to not be in controll.

I caught mewtwo on the second ball.
it ran from 4 players that I know of.

What do you mean, it was for a friend in Mozambique?

one of my local raid group guys, a fellow team mystic member has been cycling to mozambique since wednesday last week for charity.
on sunday he crossed the border.

he let the group know he had an invite and would not be able to make it.
I spoke to him, got his login details, went to the raid, and played all of sunday morning on his account, he had not logged in since Friday due to signal issues.

after the raid I logged out and removed his account from my phone.

But is that not cheating.

I've got family in Australia. I can't get there so then I should give them my login details quick and get me a regional

I may be wrong but isn't there something against sharing login details in the TOS

yes there is.

I have friends in the UK.
I have friends in South Korea.
I have friends in florida (3 regionals)
I have friends in austrailia.

I do not have any regionals.

the difference is, he was going to miss the opportunity to catch a possibly once in a lifetime rare due to doing charity work.

if there was an option to say you will not be able to make the EX raid, and that invite went back into the pool, he would have done that.
but wasting a pass is a silly opportunity.

but I like that you somehow think, me helping out a friend is the same as you supporting the spoofers in Druban who have ensured none of you guys get raid invites.

because yes, loggin in on another account is definately something that the developers have to spend time fighting when they write the code.

take your attetude and your saltyness and go somewhere else. you have made your bed, go enjoy playing in that toxic community with the fists fights and people threatening to shoot each other and remember, me using a bit of foul language in front of children is the problem.

You may not equate it to being the same thing, Baxteen, but wrong is still wrong. Technically you did break the rules, even if you feel you have a valid reason for doing so (I for one get why you did what you did).

I am not arguing at all.

but still Ecko_1 can go jump in a lake.
the enviroment in Durban is messed up, the spoofers make it impossible for real players to take a gym down all while sitting on their buts. they actively monitor the non spoofers.

so naturally, after I called them dirty cheaters, they will go and make this out to be the same as what they are doing.

but they cant understand the difference between actually playing pokemon go, and playing at home on your couch.

The rarity of the EX raid pass doesn't justify the fact that you violated Niantic's TOS. I don't really care how people play the game. Just the fact that you ride into Durban on your high horse and very impolitely ride your high horse back out, when you are also circumventing the rules of the game.

You assume that a large portion of players in Durban spoof. Just by being exposed to a whatsapp group with <100 members, and lets say 30% of them spoof (wild guess). You then extrapolate that over the entire pokemon playing population in Durban.

I hope you have a mirror in front of your everytime you want to yell cheater at all of Durban.

I have never hidden what I did.
I view it as helping a friend, but yes I broke the TOS.
also, before I even took his account details, I posted a message in the EX raid group, explaining the situation, and asking the players there if they had an issue with it.

however, while a whatsapp group wiht <100 members does not represent all of Durban, the fact that when searching for a raid group online, that is the one that comes up, means public perception is that you guys are all complacent in spoofing.

oh, only 30 people in the group spoof?
why have the other <70 not left the group out of protest?
why have you not formed another group that excludes spoofers?
oh wait it has happened, but you did not leave, that means you want the help of spoofers.
that means you are ok with people spoofing.
that means you are ok wiht new features being delayed because of measures against spoofers.

you have a problem with my language and "high horse"

I have a problem with your spineless nature.
no wonder the government is as corrupt as it is, I mean look at the attitude towards blatant abuse of power in a field where you can actually change it.

(runs to the kitchen and fetches some popcorn)
damn...this thread just got interesting :P

Shares... I also like popcorn.

@Baxteen...

I am "complacent" as it is just a game. I play my game. Others play theirs.

The whatsapp groups are handy for me to figure out whether their are raids near me, so I can get my one of each legendary. I have a life. I don't spend all weekend driving around raiding. I just need to know if there is one in the vicinity, without having to resort to websites to assist.

And my guess of 30 was just a guess.

And yes, the government is corrupt because of spoofers. Be careful the spoofers don't come for your land.

you are so deeply ingrained in the belief that you do no wrong that you are failing to see what is right in front of your face.

at least when I break the TOS, I can admit I did wrong.

just take a step back, and think about what I have said, maybe then you will realise that "just playing your game" the way you are playing it, is hindering the community instead of helping it.

I have a question for all of you commenting on this forum, since what date did you start playing pokemon go?

Right about when it launched internationally- had to sideload as the apk wasn't available yet on the S.A. Google Play Store.
