Pokemon Go!

So ironically, i'm probably the most legit player as i started playing in October, why ironic you might ask, because i cannot guarantee that i have not taken advice from a spoofer or tracker user to find mon. I know for a fact i have raided with spoofers, but i'm simply grateful for people joining the raids i'm in.

Edit: interesting to see how many people started to play on the international release though.

pokemon go is based on ingress.
ingress has the intel map that shows not only portals, but also activity.

pokemon go does not have this, so I see using a scanner that shows raids, as the same as the intel map.
I do not rely on it, but I do use a gymhunter to find raids when I am out and the entire raid group is on one side of pta, and we want to know if there are raids on the other end.
we prefer going to raids people see in person, as gymhunter can be unreliable.

if you want to get super technical, co-ordinating raids in whatsapp is using third party software and that is cheating.

I have used a scanner to find pokemon. but I ran to those, I remember a snorlax I ran for late last year that I posted on here.

I cant fault you for taking help from a spoofer, provided you had no other option, and there would have been no way for you to get said legendary.
but at the same time, co-ordinating a group of non spoofers to do raids is much more rewarding that getting the legendary while playing with a couch potato.

and the people in Durban who choose to raid with spoofers are doing it wrong, there is an active community, that raid together, they should be shunning the spoofers.
 
Wasn't part of a community at first, but now I am, a lot more fun than just randomly rocking up to a place and hoping there is some guys to help you out.

You do not have to take it out on the spoofers or their whatsapp groups, simply remember, that they are the ones loosing out on the full experience, there is nothing like the rush of running for a rare spawn you know is despawing in the next five minutes, nor all the raid stories you share with your raid buddies

I don't think you know what spoofing is...
Side loading the apk because it's not in the play store, is not quite the same thing. Never have we hidden our locations or the fact that we are in a region where the game technically hasn't been launched yet.

To give you an example, the other day I side loaded some or other music app, can't even remember what for or what the name was. I think it was for casting to a Chromecast Audio. Point is. The app wasn't available in the play store, as it was region blocked. So when I installed it and then opened the app, guess what, it closed down immediately with a notification saying the app isn't available in my region. Now Pokémon Go has never exhibited this behaviour and we have never needed to spoof out locations just to be able to log in- let alone try and catch anything.

See the difference?

in india there were no pokestops until the game became released officially.

but then again, you are making the grave mistake of trying to explain things with logic, apparently that cant work for some people.

The notion of punishment for spoofers is something someone mentioned on the spoofing subreddit, I have no other evidence for it.

CPT had over 80 people receive EX Raid passes and I know of 35 that have caught MewTwo

that is good to hear.

I only mentioned the ones I knew for 100% certain received.

and tomorrow morning we will wake up with hope and dreams of another set of invites.

Everyone that received it was part of the testing hope we all get the invite though

still in testing phase now even.

but the rumors running around is that tomorrow morning there will be a new round of invites.

the question is just will it be in the same basic locations? will more be added?
will some people now get their second invite?

will they limit invites to people who have not gotten it?

Really something to think about.

The people who received the first batch all did a raid at the same location based over a period of weeks.

They came to the conclusion that you do not need a gold gym badge as stated by previous rumors

there were people that got the invite in PTA taht had not raided at that gym for 3 weeks.
there were people who did not get an invite who raided tehre the same time as many other players who did get an invite.

so naturally there is no logic in how niantic gave the invite.

I just hope the Salty fat feck that threw his phone(and broke the screen) after mewtwo ran from him who then threatened to delete his 8year old brothers mewtwo because he caught it does not get an invite.
seriously, if you get 12 balls, and you are out of balls before the person next to you has thrown their third ball, you throw like poo and deserve it.

Haha, lol, i was actually referring to the infringement of TOS and where do you decide to draw the line. We can go into a ethical debate, because that is essentially what this is, but unfortunately ethics is dictated by the majority, which it seems i'm not part of at the moment.

I really hope this is not true, as i mostly raid at gyms that aren't gold for me yet

you can argue where to draw the line all you want, but there are some things that are on the other side of the line all the time.

for instance, having a hacked version of the game that spawns different pokemon and does not connect to Niantic's server at all.
everyone will say that is cheating, I mean its not even playing the same game.

by the same merit, the game is called pokemon GO, not pokemon sit on your couch. so playing wiht any form of GPS altering sould be as clear as day on the other side of the line.

but some people do not think so.
