any effect?

at a raid yesterday afternoon, one guy had that error, everyone else was fine. in the 2min drive he installed a time sync app, and his phone was fine at the next raid.

unfortunately, the same thing happened to another girl that was also in his car, at the second raid she was fine in the first one.
 
what app did he use ? most of these time syncing apps require root access.

honestly I do not know.
he did not root, he installed the app after I sugjested it, and it downloaded, installed and set up, in a drive that was about 400m.

so I think he searched google play, installed the first one, and followed instructions to set up.
only way the timeline makes sense.

Loaded a sync app yesterday, it reported my time was out by some 600ms. Tried to resync but I had issues with the sync itself. Haven't had the error again yet though- took down the blissey in the local gym this morning.

What app do you guys use for the time sync?
 
clocksync is what i installed now, seems to be working and has a non root mode.

once you open the app, click on the menu and synchronise - it will then say phone is not rooted etc and switch to manual mode (non rooted mode) then you hit synchronise again and now it will give you a time at the bottom of your screen and will also go into your phones date and time settings.

From there you just manually adjust your time to what the time is at the bottom of your screen and set it once done.
that should be it, you have to take your time off auto for you to set the time manually.
 
Hmm so if generations are yearly and the 2nd gen was released in jan/feb this year does that mean we'll only see gen 3 early next year only ?

That was the most likely assumption, but the problem is raids aren't the "game" changer niantic thought it would be. If I go by the redit posts, even countries where EX raid mewtwo were catchable, people did one or two and got bored, as it is more the same. They need something, something big, something to stop bleeding user base. The problem though is, as trainer tips and some redditor pointed out (forgot their name), gen 3 is mostly pointless without abilities and will result in mostly pokedex fillers. I for one will probably happily fill away, but for the most and including myself, we need a upgraded battle system which allows for abilities and paves the way to pvp. As simply releasing gen 3 is again more of the same
 
2 or 3 months with gen 3 and a change in lower tier raids, will keep the hype going.

introducing a test stage of PVP around Jan that rolls out to say, level 35 and above players and taking feedback and using that PVP system to rework the entire battle system is the way they should get the game hyped up again.

But I still don't have a completed gen 1 nor gen 2. So that's all i need, another gen uncompleted.

I have no mewtwo, Raikou Kenghiskhan, Farfetched, Mr. Mime, Taurous, Heracross, Corsola and unown.

2 of those things I can do anything about.

no way will I be able to travel to get the rest, I will never get the completed Dex. I have given up on that.



Gen 3 gives the potential for an Afrika spesific regional, and honestly that is all I want.

That's the dream man, but I think they missed the train with doduo - > ostrich. Actually don't know which one they would use as a regional exclusive, any ideas?

Although we might have to wait until gen 4 though....pryroar anyone. If not, I quit this game

Rhydon was an option, tie it in to rhyno conservation.
Tangela should have been for south america.

in gen 2 we should have gotten Gerafirig. I mean come on, its a Giraffe!

True, would have been nice if they put some thought into each mon and where they spawn. But that would probably have pissed off the majority of the player base seeing that Africa as a whole is probably only fraction of a percentage of the entire player base.
 
Conflicting conclusions coming from ninantic ceo's interview ... Trainer Tips latest vid says gen 3 coming with the Halloween event not next year. think the original interview was printed in mandarin so something got lost in translation.

Unfortunately trainer tips is just a player like us he knows no more and no less. Its all wild but wishful speculation
