Police station attack

I see it happened at a church! I hope the police only killed the 'correct' people. Either way - congratulations for a good retaliation.

A bloody exchange of gunfire in a churchyard on Friday evening left seven suspected Engcobo cop-killers dead.

The Hawks cornered the gang at their hideout in a church in Nyanga village near Engcobo on Friday night. Seven suspected gang members were killed during the shootout‚ 10 were arrested and others escaped. One police officer was wounded and rushed to a hospital.

“The group‚ which uses a church as a hiding place‚ was cornered inside the church premises. A gun battle between suspects and police ensued, which left seven suspects dead and a task force team member injured in the leg‚” the Hawks said in a statement.

“An unknown number of suspects managed to escape and are currently being sought by the police. A number of firearms have been confiscated.”

No thermal cameras on a helicopter? Looking at those pictures, it doesn't look like there are a lot of hiding places or people to mingle with once they escaped the property.

Those guys are at home in that place, its's not necessarily that they will be hiding in the bushes.

HAWKS SUSPECT CULT WAS BEHIND NGCOBO POLICE SHOOTING

JOHANNESBURG - The Hawks say last night's shootout between its multi-disciplinary team and seven suspects of the Ngcobo police murders took place in what is suspected to be a cult. In what the directorate has described as a major breakthrough, the team fatally shot seven suspects, arresting another 10 in the process. It says investigators are currently combing the crime scene.

The Hawks' Hangwani Mulaudzi says the open landscape where the suspects were hiding and the presence of women and children at the suspected cult made the operation even more difficult. “The area was an open space where everybody could see you hence we had to do this in the dark. We got information that there were many children and women in that church, we suspect it’s a cult.”

So you get crime cults now?

Maybe they don't believe that we need police, and we should surrender our souls to some higher being for protection? Crazy people in those things.

Anyone remembers the church where children were forbidden from attending school, was it not somewhere in the Eastern Cape?
