Yes When you hear about things like this close to home you rather hope he wins his case.

One in three women will be raped in this country. And the police will not protect me.
Not nice being a woman in this country.
 
I agree that this is terrible.
At first, the Reitz incident was also terrible.
It later transpired that Oros coldrink was used instead of urine.
None of us were there.
None of us knows what happened.
The area where this incident occurred is frequented by drug smugglers, prostitutes etc.
Fact is, both this guy and his wife were drunk as skunks and probably high as well.
There exists the possibility that the woman in question was a willing participant to the act, in order to prevent her husband from being prosecuted.
We were not there, so we do not know what transpired.
If the allegation is the truth, i am afraid that the Kempton police will have to get reinforcements in a hurry.
There are a number of very pissed off Boere planning to march to the Kempton police.
How we wish that they would make the mistake of firing upon us.

Not true. I am playing devil's advocate here. No point in getting all upset when a known sensationalist newspaper like the Beeld publishes an article.

All i am trying to say is that we haven't heard the entire story.
Any story has 3 sides: The victims side, the perpetrators side and the truth.
Before we work ourselves into a frenzy,we should wait for the truth.

As the story stands, i condemn it. I abhor the thought of this happening.
I also contemplate the consequences of going off half cocked.

I've been at ends of the stick, so to speak... Years ago I heard almost the same story when a guy asked me for money and lift home for his wife who'd been raped by the police (his wife's clothes were ripped too)... The guards at the place I was told me not to help as he was lying and that his wife was a prostitute... I found out a few months later that it was indeed a lie when I met him somewhere else with the same story!

Having said that... I was picked up by police not too long ago in exactly the same manner, nothing happened but it was bloody scary... I was parked on the road with a friend at about 4am when police come along... said it was public indecency (no such thing), took me in... they were looking for something, I refused to bribe them (I don't do bribes) but got a real uneasy feeling from them... They were very nervous... anyways, superintendent let us go when both their stories of public indecency where totally different!

Not saying our story here is one or the other, but I always like something like this to play itself out in a court... need to get all the evidence...

Same thing happened to one of my friends, they let her go when she started asking for their details and saying she wanted to lodge a complaint etc.
 
‘Verkragting’: Polisiekar sonder toestemming gery

Die polisiemotor wat bestuur is deur die twee polisielede in uniform wat na bewering Sondag ’n Oos-Randse ma verkrag het, was ten tyde van die voorval onregmatig uitgeteken.

Omdat die polisie dus glo nie weet wie die voertuig bestuur het nie, is geen verdagtes nog geïdentifiseer nie.

Beeld het gister berig hoe mev. Martie Olivier (29) herhaaldelik verkrag is nadat sy en haar man, mnr. Sarel Olivier, Sondagoggend vroeg deur die twee beamptes voorgekeer is.

Die egpaar het klagte van verkragting, aanranding en omkopery by die polisie ingedien.

Volgens ’n ontstelde mnr. Olivier het ’n beampte van die Kempton Parkse polisiekantoor hom gister gebel om te sê die betrokke vangwa wat hy beskryf het, was ten tyde van die beweerde verkragtings sonder toestemming in gebruik. “Hulle weet nie eens wat by hul eie polisiekantoor aangaan nie,” het Olivier gesê.

Die polisie het hom en sy vrou gevra om ’n uitkenningsparade by te woon om die skuldiges te probeer vastrek.

“Dit sou Donderdag gebeur het, maar gaan nou glo eers volgende week plaasvind. Ek dink hoe gouer dit kan gebeur, hoe beter.”

Supt. Eugene Opperman, provinsiale polisiewoordvoerder, het gister bevestig die uitkennings*parade vind volgende week plaas.

“Die polisie en die die Onafhanklike Klagtedirektoraat (OKD) ondersoek die saak en neem dit baie ernstig op, maar ons gaan die verloop daarvan nie deurdraf in die koerante nie.”

Disgusting. Same as those fothermuckers who sell their R5's to criminals just to have those same criminals shoot other cops with those very same guns.:D
