Pool Maitenance Problem

I have a regular pool and sand filter system but I'm getting a lot of fine sediment/fine seeds that gets pumped back into the pool after I vacuum the bottom (I don't have a kreepy). Bigger particles like leaves etc are caught in the two basket filters but the fine stuff goes through the baskets and back into the pool.

I would have thought the sand would catch the fine stuff but its not. I recently put in new sand (I thought that was the problem) but that didnt help. Maybe too much sand? Or too little - I dont know.

If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate it.

Almost impossible, unless you maybe put in some other stuff than normal pool sand.
You sure your pump is set on filter and not circulate?

My thoughts as well. Especially since he has replaced the sand. It is easy to break them.

Maybe, but then he should be getting sand in the pool too.

The sediment is probably just from the sand. best is to leave pool pump of for a few days then suck everything out on waste without going through the filter.

There is that pipe inside the filter, mine brakes. Also whee it enters the pipe I seal it.
Does he have enough sand inside. Is his thing perhaps on bypass.
