Where did you see it's R2 per day? I can't afford that, I'm on prepay

I'd like some clarification on this "daily charge" eye suc mentioned. Is there a daily charge and if there is, how to opt out of this thing?

this thing asked for a .net something or other so i said yes and a web page opened up, NOW WHAT? i dont know what i am doing now.

It probably needs the .net framework, I'm using Vista, not Xp, so just look for the .net installer and download it. You'll have to have fast internet though, since it's about 20mb.

Hi,

Here is the clarification you seek.
Pooosh is a free application.
Pooosh provides multiple functionality. IM, Chat-rooms, e-mail, "Talking SMS", Callback and regular discounted SMS, Content and Mippin. etc.
Pooosh is not a subscription based service, its a Pay as you go as you require, (and that's only applicable to the Talking SMS)

The only services that is charged for is the "Talking SMS" and if you use the "off-net" SMS (5 free) the rest is all there for free i.e. (Chat-rooms, IM, e-mails etc etc.) If you have exhausted the free 50 "Talking SMS's" you receive after you first register, then there is an option to recharge this function.
If you don't want to, that's fine the rest will still work.
The "Talking SMS" is not charged per "Talking SMS" but rather you send a R2 premium rated SMS (all automated in the menu) to recharge and you get 24 HOURS access to the function, "eat all you want concept"
So you can send 3000 if you want, in that 24 hours. Once the 24 hours is up, you cant send any more (but can use IM, Chat-rooms, e-mail etc. If in a few days you decide you want more Talking SMS, then just go into the menu and for R2 you recharge and start sending. So you can send a R5 SMS and send as many as you want for 3 days, etc etc. If for instance you wanted a full weeks worth that will come in at R10. If you have run out of time on "Talking SMS"others on the network can still send you a Talking SMS, and you can answer them with a "IM chat" or e-mail message. etc etc/

Inbox:
This is where all your messages of any kind is stored and can be found, e.g. if you are offline people can still send you "chat" messages or "Talking SMS" or "files" like ring-tones, or e-mails. When you log in you can go to your inbox to see them. The server knows you are online and "Pushes" these messages into your inbox, at which point you can start replying etc.

You can Nudge contacts that are offline, to get their attention so you can communicate with you on Pooosh instead of sending each other SMS's

Important: It is not a subscription service. Its free. You only recharge the Talking SMS portion, as and when you want to.

Callback is discounted International and Local calls (calls to telkom) particularly meant for people on prepaid GSM. Its cheaper for a prepaid user to call a telkom line through our system than to call direct, as is Cellular International call.

If you go to the www.pooosh.com website its all explained if you want additional detail and pricing.

Hope that explains it.

:)

Im guessing that you are referring to the Desktop app?

It helps a lot thank you.

If you won't mind giving me some clarification on something I asked earlier (on the first page I think).

Can I save as a prepaid customer and send sms to contacts that don't have Pooosh, or can't I?

This "talking sms" you mentioned, is this only to your contacts on Pooosh, or not?

Sorry if my questions seem silly to you.

Thanks for clarifying that it's not subrciption based, I wouldn't be able to afford R2 a day, since I only recharge about R35 every month or so, I rarely phone and use sms's when I really need to.

From the website:
"Off Net SMS Bundles"
Sold in R10 'vouchers', offering you 25 local SMS’s or 12 international SMS’s.
You can purchase these "vouchers" from the Website or soon from retail outlets.

Talking SMS is only for your contacts on Pooosh, which is why there is a
"nudge" feature, (Nudge your contact for free, to get them to log into the service) or leave them a "talking SMS" and when they next log in, it will be waiting for them in their inbox.( all your messages are stored there for playback anytime, just like a GSM voice mail for instance)
