Porsche 718 roadster

At R550k, this will be competing with the Mustang when it lands here...

Either of them are very very enticing vehicles.

This was done and Germany shrugged it off. Legal action ended up having to be taken.

Pricing hasn't been released yet from what I know, but I would be surprised if its anything less than R500k.
 
I would love either the mustang or the Porsche. But cars have gotten insanely expensive. For R500K I can do so much! I can buy a motorboat, go on a holiday around the entire world and still have some change left.

It would be a 2nd hand motorboat... and that holiday around the world would deplete the remainder very quickly.

Everything is ridiculously expensive these days.

You can buy a brand new motorboat with 110hp engine for R200K. R300K budget to travel the world - wooo! For about R60K you can do a nice holiday in the states. They have lost their marbles with these car prices. Thanks partly to our crappy rand and insane taxes.
 
You said holiday AROUND the world, not just an overseas holiday... they're two different things.
 
Apparently $53k base price in Germany, so buckle up - this thing will probably be closer to R700k.

Yes, 300K - 60K = R240K left. I've done most of Europe with R70K, and you can get through lots of Asia with R100K. So you can easily do most of world with that budget. If you go frugally you can do it with +-R150K. Didn't think it was necessary to point out the obvious.

That would put it firmly up the Boxter's arse. Think more likely around 600 max for base one unless they change around the hierarchy or remove the base Boxter entirely

Maybe. Although, since they're trying to move the Boxster a notch up in the market, they might can the bottom-of-the-range model as you suggest.
