Porsche Taycan goes into submarine mode in Dubai
Last year, Elon Musk said the Tesla Cybertruck would double as a boat, and this February we saw it attempt just that. Now the Porsche Taycan wants to play this game too. A Taycan has gone into what can only be described as Submarine Mode in Dubai a couple of days ago during the record flooding the city had to endure because of rain levels not seen in 75 years.
A lot of roads were flooded as a consequence, and one Taycan owner was unfazed. Instead of giving up, they just decided to go through, and even if, for a little while, it seemed questionable whether they'd actually make it, in the end the Taycan prevailed. See for yourself in the video below:

New Porsche Taycan 4S Sport Turismo thoroughly impresses in real life range test
Porsche announced the refreshed Taycan range back in February, and we've already seen an official range test. But now it's time for a real-world range test, and this one features the Taycan 4S Sport Turismo specifically.
It has been tested at 113 km/h, on German highways, and yes, that's a very slow speed to go on a German highway, but there's a method to the madness. It's the speed at which Out Of Spec Reviews do all their real-life tests, so the results are comparable between cars.

Porsche recalls Taycan due to battery fire hazard
The US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a safety recall report, stating that some Porsche Taycan (2020-2024) vehicles have an increased risk of fire hazard due to a battery issue. The said batteries could potentially cause a short circuit and start a fire.
The exact issue with the car's hardware is unknown and the report only mentions that the possible weak link is the LG-made battery coming from its Polish factory. The affected vehicles are split into two internal codes ARB6 and ARB7. The recall affects all Taycans manufactured in the US between October 21, 2019 and February 1, 2024.
For vehicles falling under the ARB6 code, Porsche says it doesn't have sufficient data on the high-voltage battery and for the ARB7, the company ensures its customers that the data doesn't show any anomalies. Still, they are recalled as a precaution, as the automaker can't guarantee that these models won't show any anomalies in the future.
