Hey all

Hope someone can give me some advice, i have the telkom mega 105, and the thing just does not want to forward any ports what so ever, I used to have the mega 100 and it worked with no problems.

Does any one have some ideas ?

Cheers Myzer

Yes I have.

Even went as far as to disable it but that did not even work.

The log does not even pick up any connections, so hence i am assuming its not going through

Yeh I have far as I can tell all ports are forwarded, that are required.

Well thats how i know that the server is correct, i did set up a pppoe to test it,and that he firewall is set up correctly.

But for the life of me can not figure out why the stupid router does nothing...

Had the same problem a couple times
In the end just had to give up and put in a D-Link Router
If the Telkom Router is less than 12 months old, try and swap it for another - a client of mine was given a Telkom / Seimens Giga762SX yesterday

Well the first one i had a mega 100 decided to stop working 3 days after the warranty ran after a few arguments with telkom they agreed to replace it but no warranty on it, so kinda screwed in that department.

Suppose i could always try reloading the firmware see if that does anything

I am having the exact same problem!! I hate the flippen Telkom routers, I forwarded ports, configured firewall, activated RDP on my PC, but I can not access my pc remotely no matter what I try, The routers just refuse to forward the ports...

I even tried using VNC, Radmin & Remote anywhere, forwarded all ports, etc. but nothing :?

Well least then I am not alone, must say with the mega 100 I had before I never had an issue forwarding ports.

Will reload the firmware this evening and see if it helps anything.

Perhaps Telkom has something built into the firmware to prevent this as they do not want us to use ADSL to host our own websites?

And I have just bought Mega 105WR!

Has anyone managed to get the Telkom Mega 105WR to do the port forward. I just bought the Zonet IP Camera. I have searched everywhere and cannot find a simple explanation on doing this. Any help out there ...

Try forwarding all ports
1-65535 incoming and outgoing ( i once had same issues with IPcam and eventually learned with wireshark that it needed 2 ports open one of which is 80 )

Also check your packet filters are clean except the one to allow traffic to flow of coarse

Lastly consult your ISP
some ISP (don't want to point finger) block or throttle ports
