Overload error? Those seem to be common on the EcoFlows.
Do you you charge it via surge protector?
If it's less than 6 months old ask if IC can refund or swop it out.
As far as I know Rectron will probably be the ones repairing it. As strange as this sounds, I would rather deal with IC than Ecoflow directly. Although, if you are in Cape Town there's the Ecoflow showroom at Canal Walk, so maybe taking it there might get faster results.

Watched some videos of the Oukitel P2001E - seems to be identical
Rectron no longer accepts units for repair if it was not bought via them. EcoFlow has their one repair service now but you have to contact them via email.
I would also try IC first.
I don't think the showroom deals with repairs, but I could be wrong.

It's less than 6 months old. Yes it was charged via a surge protector (Clearline undervoltage/overvoltage/surge) and it's not plugged in all the time. I don't get surges in my house and never had electronics fail on me.
Overload error has the ! mark and the faulty port blink. This is just a solid red exclamation mark.
And it has returned again while not even under load, so I'm gonna ask IC to swap it out. Ecoflow support has still not responded.
Keen to hear more feedback on these units.
That problem is common on the Ecoflow units. I have no idea why it is happening. Ecoflow seems to think it is related to unstable voltage after shedding ends. I had my River for around 18 months and never had an issue but I do see this problem being reported regularly on thier SA facebook group.
Try quoting this to IC:

Out of intrest, what was conencted to it when it failed?
Sure.
First time it was not connected to mains and during load shedding it was powering a Rog Ally via 65W USB-C and a Macbook Pro via 240V output which was idling. So not much. Suddenly it cuts power to both, that's how I noticed.
Second time it was not powering anything but was plugged in after having been recharged after doing some testing on a Macbook and ROG Ally, wanted to see if I could replicate the problem.
Ecoflow did not respond, yet. Incredible took the unit back as it has to be checked out but will provide a replacement new unit, whenever.
I should add that the Ecoflow Delta 2 extra battery was also plugged into the unit both times. But it's not showing any faults.

The UPS was delivered this morning. Very fast delivery, as I only ordered around 5pm yesterday.

It was 27% charged, so I fully charged it. It absorbed 1.58kWh and took just under 2hrs.
I did a FULL discharge with a load of around 650W.
It lasted about 2h50 and delivered 1.74kWh. Very good, considering battery is specced at 1.997kWh.
The fan came on very little, and I couldn't really hear it. VERY QUIET!!!
There was no alarm at 10%, only at 0%, there were 3 beeps, then it shut down.
I then charged it without a load, started at 1100W and it reduced to 550W and then 300W and down to 0W, within 2:15.
It absorbed 2.16kWh to fully recharge from 0%.
Again, no fan noise. This thing is QUIET!!!!
When I compare this R20k UPS to my trolley (R26k), it's obvious my trolley will be backup no. 2, before my generator.
I can recommend this GEEWIZ UPS without any hesitation!
For the folks interested, with a fully charged battery, in UPS mode, the UPS only consumed 10W more than the load, so 10W losses. My trolley was running at 55W losses. That's a waste of an extra R100/month.
Now if anybody can tell me where I can buy an Anderson plug, I'd appreciate it

That is great to hear. I'm very impressed with that capacity test result. Please let us know if you run into any problems in future. Are you going to try it with any larger loads? I'm keen to hear of it will handle more power hungry appliances.

How comfortable are you with the 2 years warranty compared to Ecoflow's 5 years given the amount spent?
yes, I will definitely let you guys know if I experience problems with it.
I will be running heavier load tests and report back.
I've been watching the Ecoflow facebook page and it has put me off them. I realise there are probably more units sold, but it seems they have endless shut.
If mine last 2 year without hassles, it's probably gonna last 10 (bathtub curve)
To be fair the persentage of faulty EcoFlow units are unknown. We don't know how many have been sold.
I heard that UGREEN portable power stations are expected in SA later this year.
They make pretty good quality/affordable accessories and their units also have app and firmware support.

Well mine packed up after 4 months of low load use. No boiling water or other such nonsense. Powering laptops was too much.
Ugreen is quality stuff. I’ve got a 65W USB-C/A travel charger that I swear by.
