Is any of the its under warrantee?

Why not change the config of the 24v battery to be a 12v battery and connect it parralel to the other battery only problem is, would need a new 4s bms
 
the user manual says mppt, but who knows? That's why I'm scared to fnck the UPS up :(

I've just bought the Geewiz 2kWh 2200W UPS. It works very well!!! (10W losses)
I have a rubbish, inefficient 1000W 2.5kWh trolley that has two 12V Lifepo4 batteries in it. (55W losses)
The Geewiz has a 51V internal battery and can accept solar charging of 500W 12-50V.

I was thinking, when we have longer power failures (10hrs+), I could, instead of charging the UPS with my generator, use the old UPS batteries to charge the new Geewiz. It would be much cheaper
 
Things aren't adding up.

24V LFP batteries are like hens teeth, almost like the holy grail.

How does one end up with one with no inverter to pair it with, then lands up with some gizzu portable 12V solution with not enough capacity and the 24V battery sits in the garage under the mountain bike, this to me is illogical.

if the item is still under guarantee i would just accept the 55w loss in long outages and use the other inverter as the input to this device instead of a generator

if light load could try a buck converter and limit the current via mppt port

what is te normal load? to see if a buck converter is even worthwile

I'm actually thinking of using the old (inefficient) UPS to charge the new (efficient) Geewiz during long power failures, as a safe option.
I was just wondering if one could bypass the losses, by using the old UPS batteries to charge the new UPS through DC input, but it looks like the risks aren't worth it....

yea i assumed a12v device with a 11-50v mppt

but yea it steps up the voltage so hence why the 50v max as the mppt can only step up not down
My point is:

If I had 2 x 100Ah batteries already and I was unhappy with my shitty 1000W 12V inverter, then, what I would do is go and spend R8k and buy a 3000W 24V PSW inverter.

What I wouldn't do is go out and buy a shitting overpriced portable solution for R20k and leave my 2 x 100Ah LFPs gathering cobwebs.

yea often there is a reason as much as i hate these all in ones

maybe bought with camping dual purpose or manageable size for the wife to be able to cart around too
