I think the UPS function is actually 20ms, as far as I know anyway.

Just sent off an email regarding the maximum input power, lets see what they say.

I also just checked the instruction manual and it says that the Max Input Power for AC Charging is 2000W, so it's better than the 1800W max. It's on page 4 of the manual.

Does the manual say anything about the max output wattage of that unit?

Regarding the UPS switchover time- there is a youtuber who tested the switchover speed of the popular brands in 2000W range. These were his results (
):

Ugreen powerroam 2200: 9.8ms
Oukitel P2001: 12.4ms
Jackery explorer 2000 Plus: 12.8ms
Bluetti AC200L: 13.8ms
Anker Solix F2000: 15.1ms
Ecoflow delta 2 max: 17.5ms

Thanks. I'm interested to see what they say. From the videos I've seen, it looks like the very first charge out of the box is always just under 2100W. Subsequent charges are then around 1600W.

Oh and, the power station does have an Overcharge Protection Switch located in the same area where the AC Outlet is. So if you did overcharge, it would shut down and you would have to press in the switch.
 
No. App says I was up to date. Happy to report that temps have dropped to 31°C

Yeah make sure your unit has open space on all sides, especially the vents.

Mine was also running hot at one point but I think that was when I charged it the first time. Checked the temp the other day while using it and it was at was 24C - it wasn't charging at the time.
Maybe when it is fast charging with high wattage the temps could go up; or when it is under heavy load? Not sure, maybe that could be tested.

Would be interesting to see what temp other brands run at.

The one video I watched took apart a Ugreen 1200W model and he measured the temperature and it was running way lower than some other brands he tested.

I wonder if there is a max charging difference between the US and EU models. The videos that I watched with 2100W were from Germany. There are some spec differences between regions with the US model inverter capacity being 2400W rather than 2200W like EU and SA. We also have 14 ports while they have 16.

They must have updated the manual as the one I downloaded from the Internet lists the max AC charge at 1800W. I'll try download directly from the from ugreen's EU and US websites and see if there is a difference. The 2200 manual lacks the detail of the 1200 model.

Where did you buy your unit?

On the box it came in it says 2300W.

After paying attention to the wattage of the box and the charge speed of both eu and us based videos, I found the following

US:
- Box says 2400W
-charges at around 1600W
-manual say max AC charge is 1800W

EU( like SA):
- Box says 2300W
-charges at 2100W
- manual say max AC charge is 2000W

So I think this is all normal and there are differences between regions. Makes sense.

2100W for AC charging power is no problem

if you open "quiet mode" in APP, the Powerzip function will be turned off
 
I'm wondering what some of you guys' thoughts are... I'm looking to purchase a 500W with +-500Wh battery. I need it to power my MacBook and monitor for roughly 9 hours at a time. I've checked my MacBook and monitor usage is +-40w.

So I'm looking at the following:
- Jackery Explorer 500 (500w / 518wh) @ R5999
- Ecoflo River 2 Max (500w / 512wh) @ R7999
- Bluetti EB55 (700W / 537Wh) @ R7999

Any suggestions/comments on which to choose? Pros/cons?

Personally I would go with a Ugreen, slightly more at R8 859 but you get a little more Wh (and a free Power Bank).

No to the jackery and ecoflow. Those are both NMC-based models which means less lifespan and greater risk of fire. Look for models with LFP/LI batteries only.

Sorry, I meant the Ecoflow River 2 Max. Those are LFP I think?

40w is super low i would double check that before i purchase ie make sure to catch a charging stint on the macbook and while actually doing some work

If the machines are idle power usage can drop quite a bit if the cpu goes into low power state
