576Wh (800 cycles) only. Why pay extra for a portable solution when you want to power a PC? R10000 can get you a decent stand alone 12v inverter (UPS) and 1536Wh LFP battery (2000+ cycles).

The River Pro does not work as a UPS in my experience.
If you really want to use one the why not pop a cheap little UPS between it and PCs?

yeah was also considering that....but i actually think an inverter is the way to go....
Been looking at the geewiz, 1440wm,2400va....can something like this handle a coffee machine (Dolce gusto)?

Those cheap UPS aren't designed to run for 2 hours, 15 minutes only to have enough time to shut down or generator to kick in, never mind the constant beeping. Your batteries will be poked in 2 months.

Not likely, how many watts does it say on the sticker? Not sure if you need PSW because of motors/pumps in coffee machine. Geewiz one is probably MSW. Takealot had a 12v 1000W PSW Ecco inverter with solar, but looks like its gone now for R2500 or so.

but now you need 2 batteries and a balancer which blows the budget.

Edit: I just made a some with above as my power is out and took just over a minute for 2 cups.

I'm not disputing that, just that 12V is the better way from a cost point of view and does the exact same job. Pity the 12V ecco isn't available as that has built in solar, no other budget PSW inverter has that. The next option for me would be the synapse 12V 600W (no solar), but the noisy fan would be a problem for some and would need to have it in another room or something. 12V inverters are becoming scarce like LA replacement LFP's it seems.

Blame Eskom

I'm just glad I got mine before it was a thing, ie when they where still cheap.
Now I just park with laptop while Mrs enjoy Netflix asif LS doesn't exist and I hear the sounds of Afrika humming in the distance.

Yeah, my nieces are over and they didn't even know the power was off.
