I bought mine because we also happen to go to nature reserves that have limited power (generators that turn off after 10pm), camping and so on.

Not only does it power my tv during loadshedding it also powers my LTE router during long drives and gives me light when in the middle of nowhere my son freaks out because suddenly the world goes pitch black :ROFL:

Oh, I also take it with me when I do bee keeping at night. Why have a shitty little red led headlamp when I can light the whole area up like a brothel
 
With the Gizzu 518Wh I have noticed it is recommended not to use it as a UPS as it states The device is recommended to be used as a Power Station; not as an always-on, pass-through solution. It is not recommended to use the device while charging or to leave it constantly plugged into the mains, as this can cause battery degradation.

Besides battery degradation can it cause any other harm to devices connected to it?
I need to have a unit plugged in 24/7.

How many milliseconds is the changeover? It will probably cause computers to reset.
It also charges incredibly slowly (5hr+) so the output may exceed the input and therefor not work at all.
I had one of these Gizzus and while it worked fine with it's limited features - I would recommend spending more on something higher quality. Luckily mine was recalled...

I would recommend this one. Probably more expensive, but worth every penny.

what are the power requirements for that? Perhaps just do a trolley system, as the portable power stations aren't really meant for that.

This seems like an incredible deal! :oops: Unfortunately I can't find any info regarding expected charge cycles, UPS switch over time or how loud the unit is. Those are my main worries since I'd want to get this to power my pc.
OneDayOnly offers a 7 day return window at least, but that is a kinda short time to evaluate it :confused:

Does anyone maybe have one of these units already?

In which case it is rated for 4000+ cycles which is awesome but unfortunately also according to those specs the UPS cutover is 30ms which is too slow for a pc. :unsure:

Oh nice find - that actually looks a lot better. I ended up taking the plunge so will have to see how it turns out...
I'll add some extra feedback here when I receive it and can test a bit.
 
The Ugreen PowerRoam UPS 2200W 2048Wh LiFePO4 Portable Power Station has seen a reduction in price recently for those interested in getting a PPS.

Down to R21 000 at some places.

I looked into many PPSs and IMO it is definitely a contender for the best out there.
