Portable Power Stations

Did anyone get one of these? And what is your opinion of it?
Saw the Youtube reviews, but keen to hear it from more certain to be unbiased sources.
I got one from ODO, and had it now for just under two months. Honestly the best decision I made in a long time. This power station is really as good as all the reviews on YT. There is not a single appliance in my house that this thing does not run (obviously not all at once). We use it primarily for TV, amp and a light during loadshedding, but occasionally use the coffee machine (1800w) and Air fryer (2100w) with ease. For the price (R7 999), it was an absolute bargain and I love everything about it. Highly recommended

Do you think this is a fair comparison?

Detla 2 Max vs 3000VA Mecer Axpert Pure Sine Inverter + 2x 100Ah LITHIUM Battery Trolley:

Detla 2 Max pros:
1. Portability: 22kg vs 56kg. Also a lot smaller in terms of dimensions.
3. mppt charge controler vs pwm.
5. 5 year warranty vs 2-3 year.
4.A fantastic display that tells you how how long the battery will last at the current load. A
It also tells you how long it will take to recharge.
5. Wifi Bluetooth and a great app that allows you to control it over the internet or locally, allows you to setup automations, allows you to set solar and AC charging priority. Allows you to get low battery notifications on your phone etc. And this also allows for firmware and feature updates. The app can do a lot more but there are too much to list all of it here.
6. Multiple output ports e.g. 12v, USB, 100w type c ports and multiple ac sockets.
7. Charges faster (up to 2300w - charge rate can be set via the app).

3000VA Mecer Axpert unit pros:
1. Cheaper (R7500)
2. Slightly higher output wattage ~2500w output vs 2400w.
3. Bigger capacity 2560wh vs 2048wh.
4. Replaceable batteries.
5. User repairable to an extend.
Who has the mecer axpert for R7500? Looking for a system

DJI has entered the game. Looks very solid.

Interesting. Looks like they are aiming to compete with the Ecoflow Delta 2.

Pricing on Amazon also looks similar. 1000 USD for both.

Quick comparison:

Delta 2 vs DJI Power 1000

Capacity: 1024Wh VS 1024Wh
Output wattage: 1800W VS 2400W (when battery is above 20% otherwise 1800W)
Weight: 12Kg VS 13 kg
App and firmware support: Yes VS No

I paid R25K for my Delta 2, the price the Delta 2 Max now costs. Granted that it died on me and I got a refund and then bought it again for R22K but still the prices have come down. Also bought the extra D2 battery for R14K. So effectively have a Delta 2 Max for R36K. And it hasn't been used at all since LS ended.

Paid R21k for my Delta 2. Cycled the battery last week since it hasn't been used for months.

Some say to keep it healthy.. And the worste battery is a dead battery.. So make sure a) it has charge and b) it still charges..
If it's a lifepo it would be better to keep it at 20 to 80% and top up or so, cycling it shouldn't be needed.

It has a compressor so it is a real fridge, but it's tiny and overpriced. Also Ecoflow is a new company when it comes to making airconditioners / compressors. So at best this is a bit of a gimmick. I suppose if you need to store medicine / insulin in a fridge and need a fridge 24/7 no matter what, this is good, for everything else, there's no much food you'll be able to save from spoiling during LS.

Space saving is premium for some campers. A lot of people start out with a huge fridge freezer and revert to the around 40l mark. It has an ice maker integrated, and this counts for more space saving and easier operating and less appliances. It is pricey though.

Maybe. But this thread is more about ESKOM and load shedding solutions.

19K for a 38L fridge?
You can buy double the size twin compartment 12V camping fridge for 10k and then for the other 9k you can buy a portable power station with 3 times the capacity.
Or you can buy same size 40L fridge and power station for probably less than 10K
