Porting from Telkom Mobile to MTN

I am trying to port my number from Telkom Mobile to MTN. I was at an MTN store to begin the process and i was informed that i will receive a message from Telkom and should reply to that message and all shall be fine- that the process shall take between 2 and 24hrs. It's more than 24 hours now. Is there a chance that something is wrong on the Telkom's side? Anyone experienced something similar before? Should i report them to someone and if so who? I want this done ASAP as i will be travelling and would like to be roaming when out of the country. Any advice?

From the vodacom thread, what ive gathered is that the Cell Number, Full Name and ID must correspond on the telkom side for the system to allow the switch. So check with Telkom if your details are correct and with MTN if they processing your correct details as well
