Positive news forum needed

I am getting bored and even disgusted with myself with all the negative news. SA is corrupt and on its way to whatever happens to bad African countries. So that we know. But what are we going to do about it?

I would like to suggest a topic area where one can post POSITIVE news. Things to lift us up again into rebuilding this country from the legacy of the last 12 years.

A completely non racist acknowledgement and support of initiatives and achievements that were attained in that way.

Apart from criticism, we also need constructive attempts to suggest alternatives and to highlight those and implement them.
 
Gets my vote. It seems this section only has threads that snowball out of control if the concern is race or crime or corruption. Wheres all the good news?
 
There's still a news section? Sorry don't visit those parts anymore, if I wanted to discuss something with people from Orania then I would drive there! :p

How is only looking at positive news going to achieve the above? Ignoring the reality of our situation is probably going to do more harm than good. The "causes" of the bad news needs to be addressed not the news itself.
 
We should stop worrying about AIDS,etc, lets rather look at the fun and positive things in this country.

This thread reminds me of the "Hear no evil, See no evil, Speak no evil" syndrome. Adhere to it then there is no evil. A typical ANC Satire (or as they say in short..Wipe it under the carpet then it does not exist.
 
Again I will post this as I cannot see why this should be censored. The news that is out there is there no matter what we say. If you want to change the negativity in this country go and do something about it like voting for a change. There is no use in acting like these issue are not out there. These are issues that affect us every day. We do not make the news. I do not see how reporting on happy things will make SA better??
