Hi

Did anyone get an SMS saying that R2000 was paid to your account?

Both my girlfriend and myself just received SMS's saying R2000 was paid to account (and it states part of our account numbers) but nothing is shown on internet banking.

All my inContact SMS's are also emailed to me and I didn't get an email.

Strange???

lol, i also got an sms but the part that shows your acc number, is the account number that the cash was paid into. But mine also doesnt reflect on my internet banking...lol scam indeed:whistle:

My kids each got one via sms. They have fnb savings accounts. Nothing to me or better half - we're at another bank!.

what was ther reference? i got one for 1.5k and how do they get part of your acc no???

The wife and I got she same SMS this morning, R1,000. It is a "Tolerance Limit". I think they will let your account overdraw by that amount before returning debits.

FNB :-) R1750.00 paid to cheq a/c..xxxxxx @ Eft . Ref.Pos Purchase Debit C. 11Dec 21:02

wtf?

Money deposit into my account by mistake.

So 2 minutes ago got a sms notify me R2000 been deposit to my account via EFT with reference :xxxxx(hidden).

It's the depositor's obligation to initiate whatever process to his bank and try to get the money back, right?

And do they require my consent before the fund can be released?

I have absolutely no problem with returning the money back as long as it won't cause me too much trouble and paperwork. BTW do I keep the interest if there is any:D.

Same here...also R1000. Ref: Naedo collection or something like that. Weird.

Same sms

FNB;-)R1000.00 paid to cheq a/c..00xxxx@eft. Ref.Magtape Credit. 11 Dec 21:02

Also got one at 07:21 this morning

FNB :-) R1500 paid to cheq a/c..xxxxx @ Efr. Ref.Magtape Credit. 11Dec 21:02

At least it is a credit to my account and not a debit. Now if only the money would appear... *sigh*

Since no one seems to be working at FNB today - call centre music plays forever - no way to find out what is going on.
Anyone speak to them yet?
