I'm hoping someone using windows 10 can see if the same is happening to them.

If you dial a pppoe connection in Windows 10 and then run a VPN like NordVPN or Warp Plus app that uses Wireguard or even Wireguard directly there is no internet connection.

It connects without any issues but there is no internet connection on the virtual adapter.

What I'm trying to achieve is dialling pppoe on my pc directly to eliminate any router bottlenecks and latency but if I do want to use VPN I can't because of this unless I use the OpenVPN protocol. I tried playing around with the adapter settings and googling but it seems like not a lot of people dial pppoe on their pc and thus this bug is probably not a widespread issue.

Create PPPoE account on PC.
Set it up to "share internet" like this:

Test if it works.

My mind sucks today. I hope you get some better responses.

have you tried configuring the nordvpn connection via the windows built-in vpn?

once you have done that you can tell the adapter to dial another connection first...

I opened this thread thinking it was going to answer a question on how to put wireguards/mesh on my window frames to stop bugs and mozzies coming in

- it's too early

That will work with that Protocol but not with NordLynx which is based on WireGuard.

Using IKEv2 or Openvpn works but because the encryption there is just to much overhead and that will shave about 40Mbps off a 200Mbps line to about 160Mbps download. With WireGuard and on NordVPN (NordLynx) you get about 187Mbps on a 200Mbps line which is much better.
