Post your annual increase here!

How many people with +10% are junior lackeys to the assistant deputy lackey?

If I got 81% I would be able to afford to buy a new house cash in under a year.

15% annual increase

+

20% increase for performance.

But keep in mind that a % doesn't mean much. Raw numbers mean alot..

0% last year. 4% this year (as I posted earlier) is personal increase based on department performance over last 12 months. Company Avg is 8% for 2008 increases.

After my brother finished his qualification, his bosses almost doubled his salary!!!

Seems like Software Dev. is the way to go...

:)

Im not a junior but was earning peanuts hence the 50% increase...My next one in October is likely to be around 8-10%

I reckon expecting more than a 10% increase on a salary over R30 000/month is pushing it a bit, especially in the current economic environment. That said, anything under R25 000/month should see no less than 10%.

I don't think it has anything to do with his job description.
Its proven that people get paid for their physical attributes and their people skills. Hard work, degrees and anything else plays only a little role.

Eg:People who are taller than average generally become managers, and they also get paid almost twice as much on average, than shorter people in the exact same job, even in the same company. Thats just one example.

My last job, in December: 6% (apparently higher than what most people got). I thought it was a bit of a smack in the face, considering my achievements during the year.

I also got a bonus of about 50% of monthly salary - the first bonus I'd had in 9 years.

I resigned in Feb. I don't know yet what the new company's increases/bonuses are like.

Ditto. It sounds to me like something you can eat.

No increase is a gaurenteed decrease. I wouldn't hang around for that, unless I are making a decent amount already, and I have a great work environment etc.

I've been at my present company since Jan, and since then my salary has gone up 20%, and now is about to go up (in October) another 50% ontop of the 20%.

But im an accountant and I hate my job, so it doesn't matter.

Funny how people that work WITH money always gets the most money. But the people that actually MAKES the money doesn't.

Where I worked previously, degrees meant a lot, as well as sucking up to the MD. If you did that and had a degree, you were looking at being able to buy a BMW.

lol - i think as you seem to prove some people get paid less because they really show very little mental aptitude.
